Usually the right side pauldron represents a squad symbol of some type, it seems fit that all the minor Wolf Lords would honor the great wolf in this respect.

yes but because he has the crux terminatus (on power armour?) the great company sybol is then moves on to the right pauldron and his squad markings are supposed to be on his knee pad(codex page 73). but he deosant have a squad marking on his kneepad which suggests he doesant have a squad which further suggests he is a wolf lord and its definately not logan.

The real question is why would anyone equip a model in power armor with chainsword/frost axe and not bolt pistol/frost axe? It tempts me to do it in spite of competitiveness :)

maybe he has a bp holtered

and anyway is that legal and would the model get an extra attack? are frost weapons just power weapons?

It is possible to give (ie: lords and battle leaders, wolf guard) a chainsword and frost weapon. Because they are both single handed close combat weapons, you'd get +1 attack. A frost blade is simply power weapon that also adds +1 strength in combat.

You could not have a pistol, ccw and a frost blade. As far as I know the only way a model (atleast in our codex) could get 3 weapons is if they already have them built in (ie: grey hunters).

I'm pretty sure he does. There's definitely a holster there, though it's a little hard to make out.

With regards to carrying a pistol, close combat weapon, and frost weapon, while there aren't any units in the codex that can do so (that I'm aware of, anyway), it wouldn't make a difference. The rules only make mention of fighting with two close combat weapons at a time, without talk of more than two giving any particular bonus. Accordingly, while, in theory, a unit could be carrying a bolt pistol, chainsword, and frost axe, he would still only recieve +1 Attack from his equipment. The controlling player could choose for that model's attacks to be made with, say, the bolt pistol and chainsword, as normal CCW attacks, OR could benefit from the frost weapon. Now, why you would choose to use them as two normal CCWs I have no idea, but I think you could.

I don't know offhand of any Space Marines that could be kitted out in this manner. (Although I do envy the Blood Angels HQs, with their freedom to take a storm bolter or combi-weapon, rather than replacing their sidearm with a storm bolter or combi.)

look at the banner in the background. it has the twin headed wolf with the moon behind it. we can see half of the shoulder pad of the cap in the image, it has a wolfs head with the moon behind. chances are, the other half will have another wolf head with either the sun o moon behind it.

the two other guys in the foreground have the twin headed wolf too, one with a white pad the other red but there is a moon behind the wolf.

it seems that the moon is an oft used device to create a white panel for the wolf head to sit on. in the coex it shows the symbols on a shoulder pad, and according to that morkais is meant to be on white.

i would say yes, its morkai but then i said that the last time this popped up to :)

i would also say no it isn't grimnars symbol but half of morkais.
