Darkmagi
After Reading IA7 and looking at inquisitor Hector Rex I started to wonder... If his Storm shield is a 3+ inv save just like the 5th ed space marine one can that be used to "upgrade" the base storm shields from Daemon Hunters codex where IA./forgeworld rules are allowed? Grand Master Tyrak
No. Why would it? :P If you take Valkyries from C:IG and Imperial Armour, they don't all conform to being Flyers just because they've been put in the same list. If you induct IG allies, your ISTs do not magically get AP 3 Hellguns. In fact, the only way of "upgrading" weapons like this is through Vulkan He'stan (sp?), and he has a special rule that does that. It doesn't happen automatically. By the same line of argument, I could argue that because C:DH storm shields use the old 4+ rules, Hector Rex should be forced to conform and use the 4+ rules too. Just use the rules as written. Hector Rex uses the 3+ rules as written in IA:7. Storm Shields from the DH armoury use the rules as written in the DH armoury. Validar
it is because it usually takes a long time for all the best stuff to get to the Inquisition. The best guns are reserved for the guard, the best shields are reserved for the marines. The Inquisition have to make do with their water pistols and cardboard shields because the imperium is unwilling to spend precious ressources on them. /sarcasm :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186999-nagging-question/#findComment-2211991 Share on other sites
