Black Templar: Dread, 2 troops, and a terrain

Recommended Posts

Below are a couple of troops I finished last week, a dreadnought I've been working on here and there, finally deciding to finish, and a piece of terrain.

The terrain is a small hirst arts piece. Just some loose bits I had after making a tower.

The dread is the AoBR dread. The first 40k piece I ever assembled, actually.

And the troops have a couple of black templar bits (shoulder pads and chainswords).

I use dulcoat automotive black (flat finish) primer for the base color. Any missed spots I hit with Reaper Master Series black.

After that, I go over the flat areas with Citidel Wash Badab Black.

That's it.

Edit: and I use a clear matte spray finish to protect the mini. It also cuts out any gloss from the paints I use.
