Ullr Direfang
there is a games day model out there. you can find it on ebay. they go for around $20 american. as of now there aren't any other models. there are a bunch of bits, IMO, that could be used to convert one up though. Dark Bjoern
Ok, it´s not a skull helmet, but i find the Wolf helmet works pretty well for Wolf Priests http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x120/DarkBjoern/Space%20Wolves/WolfPriestwithJumppackWIP6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187085-wolf-priests/#findComment-2213164 Share on other sites
morkai's fang
thats what i thought but i concluded that the wolf helmets looked more of a cartoon joke than a fierce warrior helmet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187085-wolf-priests/#findComment-2213253 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Its all in the paintjob. Alternatively you could always file and shape it a bit to look more like a skull. space wolf
There is a type of chaos lord that you can buy. He's got fur around the collar. Just cut of the ax he holds and his head and replace it with a crozius and marine helmet, and you got urself a wolf priest....may require some filing of the chaos Iconography Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187085-wolf-priests/#findComment-2213556 Share on other sites
TiguriusX
I have no modelling or painting skills but I think the wolf helmet looks cool. If I had any of the aforementioned skills I would try to use that helmet. I imagine that helmet would leave an impact similar to the original Stargate movie Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187085-wolf-priests/#findComment-2213635 Share on other sites
commander alexander
there are bits in the space wolf pack that can easily be used to make a wolf priest. SamaNagol
You can convert any number of models to be Wolf Priests. They don't all have to have the same rimmed ornate armour style as Ulrik and Sternhammer. As long as they look suitably veteran, stoic and wisened then that is fine. You may well want to use one of the Chaos Marauder Horsemen heads, or simply one of the older looking heads from either of the new Space Wolf boxes. Modelling a crozius is not too difficult with some plasticard, some putty and some patience. The best thing to do would be to build your own, because you won't find the Games Day exclusive Wolf Priest on ebay for cheap these days. morkai's fang
do you think if i just used a chaplain then put some wolfy stuff (wolf skull on shoulder?) on him it would be acceptible? Grey Mage
do you think if i just used a chaplain then put some wolfy stuff (wolf skull on shoulder?) on him it would be acceptible? Yeah, you can make one out of the new plastic SW kit, or whatever else you have laying around really... just be sure to paint his armor black *Max-Damnits beautiful minis aside, most "chaplain" style characters should have black armor*. Dark Bjoern
@Max_Dammit Where did you get the wonderful skull on the TDA Priest? I would say from Ulrik the Slayer. That´s his head. It´s very popular to cut his head off and use it for other WP conversions. Grim Dog Studios
Has anyone thought of using this chaos space marine helmet, i think it looks suitably like a wolf skull of some sort. Im going to be using it for my wolf priest conversion. http://bitsandkits.co.uk/.media/483309056160.png Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187085-wolf-priests/#findComment-2214203 Share on other sites
Skirnir Ragefang
Another nice way is to slice down a regular Marine Helmet and glue one of the Wolf skulls from the PA Wolves to the front. Then use a lot of furs and runes on him. Voila, Wolfpriest! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187085-wolf-priests/#findComment-2214237 Share on other sites
