Last week i paint stripped my old Bjorn. I also removed the old banner with the intention to give him a new one. Here´re the first pics.

I´m not pleased with the arms on the banner, but that´s only a minor problem. I will redo them tomorrow. I will also try to sculp the Symbol of Russ on the right torso.

Let me know what you guys think.

It's looking good so far! I would advise taking a toothpick to him before you re-prime him though, to get rid of all the little bits of paint left in the crevices. That banner is looking awesome as well - keep up the good work, and you'll have one awesome mini on your hands! :P
The banner looks good, so does that techmarine, what bits did you use to make him?

Take a look here: Arjak Rockfist and other WIPs

In post #13 you can see the different parts. I changed the torso with one off the new box. The one i had converted had not fitted together with the legs.

@Typical Cricket: There´re no paint rests left on him. I used an Ultrasonic Cleaner for this work. The blue shine comes from the old paint that had diffused into the metal over the past 16 years.

The paint can't diffuse into the metal

but, it looks pretty clean, only the one wolf tassle looks a little 'gold'

Normally i would agree, but one look at the dread tells me that it could. I only remember that i used some industrial spray paint 16 years ago.

I used NaOH (sodium hydroxide) and the US cleaner for paint stripping. I´ve got access to high concentrated NaOH at work. We normally use it for removing cinder and rust/corrosion from Jet Engine Components in preparation for nondestructive Testing. With NaOH no paint should remain on the model.
