Kerrigan
I have been painting Ultramarines for about two, three years now, but Chaos and my Nids won most of my time. But I have a few units already done. Here's an assault squad I have almost finished. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Fast%20Attack/DSC03431.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Fast%20Attack/DSC03445.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Fast%20Attack/DSC03460.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Fast%20Attack/DSC03462.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Fast%20Attack/DSC03466.jpg And a Chaplain to accompany them: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/HQ/DSC03420.jpghttp://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/HQ/DSC03456.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/HQ/DSC03442.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/HQ/DSC03451.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187353-kerrigans-smurfs/ Share on other sites

The Nephilim
Two thoughts... One: Your models are excellently done. Two: I love TLOS. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187353-kerrigans-smurfs/#findComment-2216552 Share on other sites
cathar the great
Two: I love TLOS. Isn't it a shame that putting time and effort into making your bases stand out is not rewarded but actually penalized? ;) I do like those a lot, even though they are smurfs. But they can't rival your Chaos stuff! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187353-kerrigans-smurfs/#findComment-2216662 Share on other sites
Kerrigan
About the TLOS, I always agree upfront about the size of my models. Sure they can hide beside a rhino, even if they are "way up there". Why should you limit your modelling adventures just because it would nerve you in the game. That's just stupid IMHO. If you can't see me, I can't see and target you. It works both ways. ShinyRhino
Good stuff. How do you keep from breaking them in transport? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187353-kerrigans-smurfs/#findComment-2217218 Share on other sites

I agree completely. In my league though, there is an asshat that makes playing the game very unfun. I stopped playing with my daemon prince that I had converted back in 4th edition. There are more than a few that I swear play the game to ruin it. Kerrigan
@ Shiny Rhino: GW has some foam trays with larger cavities (two instead of one) Most assault marines will fit there perfectly. As for the Chaplain, I put the model and the nid in separate places, the rod just presses in between. No problem. @ The Nephilim: I guess those gamers who play by the rules to win are more players than modellers/painters. It's sad, but then again, I don't like playing against non painted armies. Kerrigan
ForgeWorld dreadnought drop pod in the making http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00424.jpg I read in a forum that the small pins/bumbs which make the hinges of the doors, snap easily. So I decided to pin the doors. But that way they can't lift to get the doors to open and close, so I had to make it higher. Also, magnets had to be put in. Because if the heavy doors fall open, it causes some force on the hinges. The weak resin might break. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00425.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00431.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00427.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00430.jpg To make things a little more decorated inside: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00429-1.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/raphaeloudsen/Ultramarines/Drop%20pods/DSC00428-1.jpg More soon.
