GK Redeemer rules / Upcomming Datasheets

Im looking forward to getting a GKLRR, and will likely use it as the delivery system for my GM and Retinue, as the Firestorms and Psycannons will work to soften entrenched areas... and can use my Crusader for my main strike squad of PAGK.
Also the Redemption Force (not sure if thats the exact name). I have used that formation in several apocolypse battles, and really enjoyed it. Cant wait to have a chance to use it against Daemons in Apoc. Esp the Bloodletter formation, make it a challenge

You can't use it if you don't face Daemons? :/

I dislike that datasheet so much as to claim I actually probably hate it. Well, at least despise. It flies in the face of what Apocalypse is all about, and ruins Team based Apocalypses.

It still remains the *only* Datasheet released to have;

1) A stipulation based on your opponents on its availability for use

2) A Penalty (and a massive one at that)

It wouldn't be so bad if sheets like the Terminus Ultra required your opponent to field a Super Heavy before you could use it (as the fluff states), or for you to actually be facing a Titan before you can call in your Titanhammer Squad (just examples...).

Before anyone gets in with it, sure we can make our own up. Houserules are great. I'd actually prefer an 'official' GK Datasheet though...

No no no my friends, you misunderstand. You can use the Redeemer as long as there is Chaos on the field, SM or Daemon. I merely meant i havent had the opportunity against daemons yet. Tho i DO agree its BS that once there is no chaos on the field, your opponent gains control of your army to wreck havoc against your own team.

Check the 'Redemptors' special rule.

This data sheet can *only* be used if your opponents field a Greater Daemon or a Warp Rift.

There is no way to use it otherwise.

(Technically, it's worse. You can spend all your Points on this sheet, turn up, and your opponents *don't* use said Gaemon or Warp Rift, and you lose. As your paid for army, can't enter the feld of play, but you've still spent your points on it. And this isn't what Apoc's about inthe slightest... It's the bottom of the barrel, worst of the worst, uttery irredeemable, lamest datasheet GW have ever produced. It's also the *only* GK datasheet GW have ever produced...)

Edit before flks take these posts the wrong way.

There's nothing wrong with fluff based games. Fluff based campaigns can be awesome.

But Apoc is neither.

Well, there's the "Ordo Malleus Covenant of Destruction" in SOV-III (IA-7). It give sacred hull to all the Land Raiders in the Formation, how cool is that (er... not very.) But you get an extra objective if you kill a Greater Daemon/Daemon Prince or Demonic Character (once per game!). And you can re-roll to wound against that one model (once per game!).

Huh, huh, isn't that great!? Eh.... no.

Fortunately, we have the new SoB one, that let the exorcist shoot twice in one turn and not shoot in the next. Because that's a lot better than shooting every turn!!! You know, the kind of game-breaking datasheet apocalypse is all about!?

Oh well, I've kind of thrown the towel when it comes to the =I= and Apocalyspe. I've got my Marines for that.
