Beef
Ok so I finally have a little bit of spare time, Now I have no more SW min's having sold cases loads of painted armies. The SW battle force looks like a good deal as in assence you get a drop pod, 2x10 man GH/BC squads and 5 scouts. What I want to know is are the 2X10 man squads full plastics. What I meen is do you get exactly the same no of sprues as if you bought 2 boxes seperatly? My worry is with all the parts you get in the 10 man boxes they might have only put in 1 boxes worth with enough legs and torso to make 20 men? somebody tell me whether I would be getting exactly the same as if I had bought the 2x10 men boxes seperatly (minus the wrapping) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187420-quick-questions-on-sw-battleforce-and-vallejo-paints/ Share on other sites
HelbrechtsSword
All 20 marines are the new space wolf pack type. 4 complete sprues with five wolves on each. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187420-quick-questions-on-sw-battleforce-and-vallejo-paints/#findComment-2217341 Share on other sites
CainTheHunter
This question has been already discussed recently, but the answer is yes, they are the same. They wouldn't even be able to do what You suggested, because legs on the new plastics are not on the same one sprue - You get three sets of legs on one sprue, and other two - more WG style - on the second. And then repeat. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187420-quick-questions-on-sw-battleforce-and-vallejo-paints/#findComment-2217344 Share on other sites
Beef
Also I was thinking of getting vallejo paints, I have been told for years they are far better than GW, is there a colour comparison chart some where? TheLastHuzzah
Beef, I still have a bunch of the GW paints, but I love the Vallejo paints that I do have. They don't really need watered down, as they are fairly liquid in their original form; and, they don't dry out. I believe Vallejo's "Game Color" range is the one that stacks up next to GW's. Here: http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/ I'm planning to pick up the gamecolor set as soon as I find one, until then I can only go off of the colors I've used. -Huzzah Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187420-quick-questions-on-sw-battleforce-and-vallejo-paints/#findComment-2217434 Share on other sites
neonwolf
You have to follow the links on their site to get to the comparison chart, and I think it's in Italian, but here's the link to Vallejo's website. http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187420-quick-questions-on-sw-battleforce-and-vallejo-paints/#findComment-2217436 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Also I was thinking of getting vallejo paints, I have been told for years they are far better than GW, is there a colour comparison chart some where? You remember the old GW paints from 2nd edition and early 3rd? Back when they had white tops? If you liked them, youll like Vallejo- because Vallejo bought all the paint recipes to those old paints and still sells most of them. And yeah, I won a battleforce- you get all the parts of two boxes of the PA wolf pack, a full boxes worth of the bolter/shotgun/bp+ccw scouts, and a drop pod. They leave nothing out. Beef
I rememeber the old white top paints. I still have a shadow grey one thats still not dried up. I thought GW had changed their newer paints as they were not as good as the old white tops, plus the colours did not match 100% Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/187420-quick-questions-on-sw-battleforce-and-vallejo-paints/#findComment-2218592 Share on other sites
