The Sons of Fenris

With the recent release of the great new Space Wolves Codex we’ve had lots of enquiries here at Forge World asking whether we are planning to do some more models for the warriors of Fenris. The simple answer to this is absolutely yes, and sooner rather than later in fact, with a Venerable Dreadnought on the way. Until then however, we do already have a number of Space Wolves accessories you can get your teeth into including a Terminator Conversion Set, Icons, Chapter Specific Doors and Brass Etch Symbols and of course our mighty Thunderhawk is available with Space Wolves iconography as well.

Second wave.......I would not exspect anything any time soon. We are still waiting on the Daemons to get there second wave as well as a few other thing that are currently going on with in the GW world :P 2010 going to be a jamp pack year is all I am going to say.

But again for the time being I would not exspect anything any time soon bar the Forge World goods. But then again things can & will change, look that the small dely on the nids codex due to a printing mess up.

On the FW Dreadnought note, is has been sight during a Games Workshop thank you day in Nottingham Warhammer world for clubs/none GW staff who help UK Games Day. There was a perview of this model, but sadly where ask not to take any photos. From what people say the Dreadnought might be in the next wave of FW release after christmas.

IP

If they were smart, the FW Dread would have been out in time for xmas. Actually, let me correct myself: if they were smart, the FW dread would have been out at the same time as the Codex release, and the Thunderwolf Cavalry would have been out in time for Christmas.

Alas, they are not smart.

where in africa did you go?

Im in South Africa - for those who don't know.

Eagerly awaiting my boxes of wolves from Wayland Games (the best / most affordable / friendliest online miniatures store "for the first time ever" "in the whole world").

I have actually contacted a local sculptor and we are working on an AWESOME Thunderwolf mount - loosely based on the Dungeons of Dread Dire Wolf #37, we've decided to do separate body, head and legs so that we can make dynamic poses etc.

We're also considering some half-wulfen and full wulfen heads... will keep everyone updated. At this stage its only for private use - maybe for local sale, we're not sure yet, depends on casting and sculpting costs.

A little off topic,

I tried Wayland Games and it took ages for my stuff to arrive. Though I did ask for my stuff to be shipped though the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) and even though it was only being shipped to Germany it still took 5 weeks.

Tried a company called Wargames Empire. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They didn't send anything and didn't answer the phone or any emails. I've ended up contacting my credit card provider to get my £159.00 back. Moral of the story, always use a credit card when buying on line if you can.

After waiting 6 weeks for my new Codex and minis to arrive I ordered from GW. I placed an order for 3x Wolf packs, 1x WG pack 1x Codex 1x Lukas 1x Devastator box and some undercoat, glue, washes ect..... But the story didn't end there. When the stuff I ordered from GW didn't arrive I contacted customer services who immediately re-dispatched the order and added Najl for free and 2 weeks later the original order turned up. When I called GW they said just keep it!

After that I will only buy from GW.

Back on topic I remember reading that there would be new SM minis out in March but didn't say what. I'll find the link.

here it is. A bit non discript though.

Good review. I try not to buy online, if I can help it, its just too unreliable for me, plus postage often does not equal postage/packaging costs (especially on ebay).

I buy from GW stores, but havent used GW mail order since they stopped the bits service.

A while ago before our current codex came out we had the rumour threads. One of them I posted info and the link to a FW SW Dread "Green" that was sent to me from someone at the former GW Canada.

Its a small pic from inside a concept page. Its in the thread somewhere. No date though.

earliest you can expect a 2nd wave of miniatures would be in march with the battle missions release, however even that is a little early for a 2nd wave for SW. dont hold your breath.

edit: dewi sant beat me to it. the MOST you should expect from a battle missions release would be maybe a special character (ragnar, ulrik, arjac) if we REALLY get lucky we might get plastic TWC or fenrisian wolves.
