Runic staff/weapon

Generally that would depend on what kind of weapon it is. A staff for instance would qualify as a two handed and an axe would easily qualify as a one handed. "Runic crafting" or runes are applied to "the" weapon to impart special divination. Pretty flexible guidance IMO, though I do not have my Dex with me at work right now. Perhaps someone with a better or different POV will be along shortly and tell me to get back to my ale...........after I get home :P
If your question is do you get the extra attack for having a Rune Weapon and another CCW/pistol the answer is yes. In modeling terms it can be one or two handed and you still get the extra attack. Reference: Close Combat Weapons section on page 42 of the small rulebook. GL. I'll get back to my ale now.
Not often I find something I can't puzzle out, & I apologize for disturbing the drinking of the elder brothers, but is a runic weapon a one handed weapon? I can't see anything stating one way or another.

A Runic Weapon is a Force weapon, all force weapons unless specificly stated otherwise are Powerweapons that give you access to a particular psychic power- and power weapons are by default "one handed".

Thus, Runic Weapons are "One Handed" no matter how you model them.

I am looking harder through the rulebook now. It does not even say if the weapons listed are single or double handed. It says you get bonus attacks for two single handed weapons and that is the only reference to single handed weapons. Unless stated in an army's Codex I think it is safe to assume every weapon is a single handed weapon.

This, I believe, is correct. In 5th Edition the close combat weapons are no longer classified as one-handed or two-handed. Instead, they use the game mechanic of either allowing the extra attack from a second close combat weapon or pistol (e.g. Power Weapon, Rune Weapon, Nemesis Force Weapon, etc.) or not allowing the extra attack (e.g. Relic Blade, Power Fist, Thunderhammer, etc.).

The end result is the same, but the game mechanic used to describe it has changed.
