What I am curious about... How many people considered running Same Lord Terminator x4 Champion x4 Claws MoS - Initiative 5 would give them a severe edge. Against IC. IE they strike at the same time.. Corpse. Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 Assuming most of your opponents are exactly initiative 4 or 5, then yes it would be a severe advantage. Much of the time however, a consistant +1 attack per model fares better, because you will face things that are so numerous, attacks matter more, or face things that always strike first (you have no frag grenades, facing banshee's, genestealers etc). Requiemnex Posted December 22, 2009 Author Share Posted December 22, 2009 Well it had occured to me that I5 pretty much enables you to get a majority of your attacks in BEFORE or at the same time as the other person strikes IE keeping you from getting walluped by a power weapon Commander or Lord. mes Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 I run a 9 man chosen squad in my raider with IoS, 4 sets of claws, a flamer and a slanneshi lord with a blissgiver. It has less claw attacks than the terminator squad, but it's less of a problem if theres a PK nob or fist sergeant that makes it through, and the squad can make sweeping advances.
