Hfran Morkai
I've been looking at my Blood Claw packs and feeling the less pain they now dish out, though still quite substantial, and looking at ways of beefing the pack. I'm going to be running two packs total in LRC's with an IC attached to each for more combat effectiveness. So my questiond: Does Lukas' Rebellious rule make too much of a difference? I mean it's one less than a WGBL which is probably what I'll run them with. Does he cause enough havoc to be considered points effective? I know he seems pretty tasty as he can't be singled out but that also means his cloak doesn't work until he's alone, right? Basically I'm asking as we've had some time with the codex now if he is worth taking, even for just a fit of giggles when he freezes that expensive enemy squad. hendrik
i'd take him over a wolf guard leader in apocalyps anytime, maybe even multiple times if i really can't stand my opponent or if he spams titans etc. just imagine him charging thi precious reaver titan,he gets killed in the progress but thakes that lovely titan with him the price of lukas, 155pts the look on your opponents face when he just lost his reaver, priceless Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188046-lukas-in-apocalypse/#findComment-2225191 Share on other sites
jester262
really? I remember hearing super heavies and titans only take a structure point. Don't remember where though. Grey Mage
Well gargantuan creatures only take d3 wounds, and IIRC titans follow alot of their rules, but I havent cracked apocalypse in a long time. commander alexander
I think Lukas is totally worth it. If you are worried about that minimal drawback of never getting above 8Ld, put them with something that has the saga of majesty, then they will get to re-roll their Ld tests. Hfran Morkai
Didn't think about Saga of Majesty... OoooOO or a wolf priest, fearless doesnt care about numbers. Valid point, I'm already using two WP's in my Great Company and just don't want to overdo it. Could always change one of the other ones into a Battle Leader. commander alexander
Well if you don't want to over do it on Wolf Priests, some models that have, or can take saga of majesty are; Logan, Njal, Bjorn, Wolf Lord, Rune Priest, and any venerable dreadnought.
