Freakiq
I'm in the middle of repainting a dreadnought I started quite a while ago. I'm finding it a bit too cluttered though and I'm starting to rethink using yellows and I might go for gold instead. The yellows are basically a flat colour so I'll either repaint them or highlight and shade them. Do any of you great painters out there know how I can make this model seem more coherent and less cluttered? New designs for the shield would also be helpful as I'd gladly repaint it. The skull is (subpar) freehand btw, so the shield can be given any motif. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188321-ultramarine-dread/ Share on other sites
Dejay
I like the black and yellow 'hazard' type scheme. Reminds me of the old Terminator Power Fists. If you think it looks too busy, try changing some of the yellow to white, but I think it's fine how it is. Kek
Adding some scripture to the scrollwork will break up the white areas a bit and should provide more contrast in the model. But i agree with Dejay it looks fine as it is. Kek Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188321-ultramarine-dread/#findComment-2228535 Share on other sites
