Asrech
Well my brothers, I've posted some stuff in the WIP section, so I figured I'd throw up some stuff here as well! I've always loved dreads and I run them constantly in games in all manners of different versions. I have another Ironclad still on sprue waiting to be build, so in total there are 10 holy gamecubes running 'round. All arms except for the chaplain are magnetized or pinned so that they can be removed for gaming purposes, easier transport or simply to give the dread other arms. As well as come up with real names. A few dreads are second hand bought, thus the thickness of the painting. The chaplain I'm planing on going over at a later date to fix it up a bit better as I'm not toatly happy with it yet. But I can play with it at least. <_< The last Ironclad I'm waiting with a bit to build since I want to finish a few other projects first, as well as getting a bit more inspiration about how to convert it since I want to fix it up a lot to make it differ from the two others. C&C greatly appreciated :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188366-ancient-council-of-the-ash-dragons-pic-heavy/ Share on other sites

Lord Mad Balrog
That is a fricka-hella lot of dreadnoughts. I'm scared to see the rest of the army. Nice work on the conversions and stuff. I like how you did the flamers with actual flames. Asrech
Thanks guys! Once I've run all 9 of them in a game, wedge formation right down the middle with 6, 3 coming down with pods... good times... :P Well I wanted a dread with the twin flamer, just because it's cool coming out of the pod. Since it's overall not that great a version since it lack any real Oomph! I figured I had to make up for it with some conversions, thus the pimp base and flames. And since obvoiusly 3 flamers (twin+normal) doesn't light it up enough, two searchlights on top. The flames are a pretty simple conversion, but I'm happy with how it turned out :) Light it up! Great stuff. I demand an 3000pts+match when you get back here in febuary! Asrech
You brought down most of them before the end though. And when I'm home in march we'll see what we can set up ;) The 10th dread, the Ironclad I'm still wondering how to build as I want it heavily converted, just not sure how... Any ideas? Semnos
Well, at least "Metal Rain" is more merciful than all the rest... When he cuts you in half, he'll then cauterize the wounds to reduce blood loss and infection. Nilsson
Buld the hurrican bolters and a chainfist.. Perhaps? Could be fun. Not that good setup, though fun. Brother Martemis
dear god! so many dreadnoughts, all awesome too, great ideas behind them, number 10? another vote for hurricane bolter with a chainfist, or power fist, gimme those ork mobs! Asrech
Well the arms for the two Ironclads are only snap ons, so I can still use the hurricane bolter or change between c-fist to hammer. The hurricane bolter is really cool, but by the time it's really effective, a heavy flamer will usually be better.. sadly. :) But we'll see what insanity I can bring up when I put the old chap together :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188366-ancient-council-of-the-ash-dragons-pic-heavy/#findComment-2230054 Share on other sites
Brother Martemis
use the hurricane bolter from the crusader though... OH NOES, that means you'd have to make a dreadnought look like an ironclad should, so bulky, the crusader hurricane bolter doesn't look too big.... thats what i'm trying to do at the moment  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188366-ancient-council-of-the-ash-dragons-pic-heavy/#findComment-2230083 Share on other sites
Agentarrow
So many Dreadnaughts! The Flamestorm is my favorite, but I just love the fire effects you added to it!
