Darq Hunter
First off, I apologize if this has been posted before, I did a quick search (this is before work...) and didn't find anything but if there is, let me know! Anyway, I want to make a force under Sven Bloodhowl, I like the assault kinda feel to it so I wanna try it. Anyway, I was going through the codex and was trying to put him together and check sites to see if it worked out. I wanted to give him two frost blades because he likes to be up there, in the midst of battle but I read somewhere that he has a thunderhammer? I'm trying to follow fluff so I would appreciate any feedback about this one. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188402-sven-bloodhowl/ Share on other sites
hendrik
from a gameplay point of view 2 frostblades makes no sence at all, you 'd be better of with 1 FB and a normal CCW, but could convert it to be a frostblade (afterall it's just a special sort of chainsword) about sven, page 39;) it mentions him going solo with his lovely thunderhammer;) what you could do to solve the I1 thing is to chance one of the hammer's sides with an axe and use it gamewise as a FB Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188402-sven-bloodhowl/#findComment-2229412 Share on other sites
SamaNagol
There was debate that, by RAW, 2 Frostblades would stack giving you +2 St. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188402-sven-bloodhowl/#findComment-2229459 Share on other sites
Primarch015
There was debate that, by RAW, 2 Frostblades would stack giving you +2 St. frost blades dont stack str, you would just get another attack if u had another frostblade. Heimdal
There was debate that, by RAW, 2 Frostblades would stack giving you +2 St. You can still only use one special weapon at any time. the jeske
only frost blades dont give you str 5 , but str +1. no one is saying your actually striking with two blades , but the pasive +1str should always be there [at least by RAW]. Niiai
Holy Macaroni! Put two frost blades on a hero on a thunderwolf and we have a S7 I5! :) Although I do not know if that is raw... Hahaha! :) That, thunderwolf mount T5 T4(5), Pelt of the doubleganger, The Anvil and Logan will always haunt these forums. Even after the FAQ comes out it will still be a problem. :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188402-sven-bloodhowl/#findComment-2229709 Share on other sites

TeamLando
Blooodhowl eh, nice one brother, I'm doing the same thing! Since the new wolves came out, I decided to put my "old" wolf army on pause to make a new one, fluff based on one of the 13 companies, and I like you choose Sven Bloodhowls great company :) They're cool as hell, sadly I've been to damn occupied to be able to paint, but I've managed to start converting the Wolf Lord himself, part of the Wolf Lord Challenge and all,m sadly I won't be able to complete him before the deadline (due to personal reasons) but I'll post my version of him there when it's done, kinda converted and kinda cool ;) I'll be sure to check out your take on him :) Fluff tip, there's one entry about him in the historic events section in the dex, and a short text about him in the "Wolf Lord" section aswell :( Apparently he carries a Thunder Hammer, not necessarily so but hey, I like my fluff :P Gonna give my take on him a thunder hammer, a wolf-claw-combi-flamer kinda thing. Darq Hunter
TeamLando - Bloodhowl seems pretty versatile with tons of assault. I had a hard time trying to figure out who I want to follow, I like so a lot of the Wolf Lords. Bran Redmaw, Engir Krakendoom, Sven Bloodhowl and Kjarl Grimblood were in the running. I might change before the time is up but I wanted to get a list together and a paint scheme before I started. As far as a conversion... it would be slow. I've been away from the game/hobby for years so it is like starting it anew and when I did years ago I never did any conversions except for "Orky fings" so that was easy. It's like riding a bike! :tu: Seriously, there are so many parts in the new SW box sets that converting a Wolf Lord is more substituting parts than chopping up. So with a little T.L.C. you should achieve great results. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188402-sven-bloodhowl/#findComment-2230311 Share on other sites

Cool brother, I gotta say tho Sven fits me perfectly, they've got tattoos and I love painting microdetails on my minis, the emblem that I free hand on their shoulders is great and well, my playing style in game is close combat based to the max xD But yeha, consider it well, I do recomennd Bloodhowl tho, but I admit that I was considering Grimblood aswell Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188402-sven-bloodhowl/#findComment-2230357 Share on other sites
