Enjoy :)

Probably need to apply both layers, the silver and subsequent ink layers with an airbrush, might be able to get away with a tank brush or dip for the ink, I never used the tank brush though. Looks like you can see the brush strokes. Im a huge lurker in your threads and really like your models. I just think the big stuffs not quite as good as you individual models.

Thanks guys,

@ Brother Chaplain Ginn: Yeah I agree - the problem with the washes are that with larger brushes they tend to pool a LOT more on the model. This tank was also my first attempt at flat surfaces so it's more like an experiment if you know what I mean :P Oh and my dad got an air compressor a while back and I'm hoping to use it instead of propellant on a spray gun :tu:

@ Agentarrow: I will be getting some - oh and the GW Crimson Fists Vehicle upgrade too :tu: But that's when I have more tanks to build - I currently have 4 (Including this one) already built, So I'm going to use those as 'tests' then hopefully start painting some 'proper' ones eventually :tu:

Hmm, I don't know, met. Your typical Viva Metallica stuff is top of the crop when it comes to your footsloggers. This, however, looks...streaky, like the paint wasn't thin enough. I mean, I get that a silver undercoat doesn't hold paint all that well, but it just doesn't seem the same. It's definitely TT quality, though, and looks fantastic in that regard.

I would suggest applying the silver with an air brush...and for base coats you dont even need a nice one. I would still apply the inks with a brush but you may need to shake the model as if it was dipped.

You may be able to also use the airbrush empty to get the extra ink off.

And drill out the barrell holes. :D

I'm still undecided on the entire technique, but I'll stay neutral.

The paint is streaky, and oddly enough the acutal metal areas lack any real oomph. After seeing your Lucius model I know you can do normal painting (even if it had mould lines) so i think you should try applying 'spot colours' of old style painting.

In all.... its just another model with shine. Nothing really special. TT, yes, but lacks any real impact.
