Niiai
Hello, if I want to play an inquisitor (or a witch hunter) how do I do it if I want to take allies? I supose I would be abel to use the new SM codex, but some of the choises have been changed around, like the dreadnought. Also, how does it complement with the imperial guard units, are they still caled the same? And, I am sorry there is a lott of questions here, but do you know where I could find an army builder guide? wizard12
basicly, if you are playing inquisitional forces as your main force then you can "immortal emerour of mankind" space marines or imperial guard choices shown in the codex, but not both. If grey knights or sisters are your main force you can only "immortal emerour of mankind" imperial guard for odd reasons. Space marines have had very little change. You use the vanilla codex and the choices listed in the "immortal emerour of mankind" section (DH it is at the bottem of the heavy support page, WH it is on the left hand side of the HQ page) Imperial guard are a bit harder. You can only take ONE leman russ battle tank of the battle tank variant. No other varient or no other vehcles in the squadron. Just one. Most players are happy to let you use both types of sentenal and rough riders are the same. There is no such thing as an armoured fist squad any more (except in IA1) but the changes that are really good to us is the imperial guard platoon. Letting us take over 140 guardsmen with special weapons, heavy weapons and most of all the humble lasgun in one troops choice as well as 6 chimeras. Thats a lot of firepower. I don't know anything about builder guides. To sum up - the rules for the space marines are not changed and you can take the unit spcified in the "immortal emerour of mankind" section with the restrictions shown in the section. Imperial guard are change abit but mostly to our benifit. Inquisitor Fox
These changes in unit type are summed up in the Imperial Guard FAQ located on the GW Website, which specifies we can indeed take both types of Sentinel :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188526-inquisitor-with-the-new-allied-codexes/#findComment-2230997 Share on other sites
