Belm
Hi folks. well, after a year of (very) on and off painting, I've finally got 18 fully painted marines to my name. these are the first models i've painted in about 6 years, and while there's alot of room for improvement, overall i'm really happy with how they came out. Here's a few pics; any advice/tips would be very much appreciated! Close combat Initiates: http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/cc2.jpg http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/cc1.jpg Bolter Initiates: http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/s2.jpg http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/s1.jpg And here's a few WIP shots of my Neophytes: http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/sc1.jpg http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/sc2.jpg The undercoat came out fine with these but the picture makes it look way too thick. Lastly, my WIP Emperors Champion: http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/rr316/jambamagamba/ec.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188610-templars-wip-neophytes/ Share on other sites

Terminatorinhell
I really like the silver scheme you have it's like the actual templars ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188610-templars-wip-neophytes/#findComment-2231717 Share on other sites
Belm
Thanks! i wanted to give them a more historical Knightly feel, although i'm not sure if my colour scheme will look good with vehicles, might seem a bit too shiny! For the neophytes i plan to make the next bunch closer to regular marine scouts, to show them being further along their training than my current ones. I really like using the pig iron gas mask heads, i think they go really well with the flagellant bodies. As for rules, A GW staff member suggested using the Space codex rules as opposed to the BT one, but i'm not so sure about this, are BT particularly worse off in 5th edition? Athens
I like the idea for the neophytes. I usually think of neophytes as basically scout models but this seems to fit the Templars even better. Nice work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188610-templars-wip-neophytes/#findComment-2232062 Share on other sites
Capt. Lysander
The Grey scheme is good :) I especially like your red. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188610-templars-wip-neophytes/#findComment-2232140 Share on other sites
