Arkio
so, i know if my tank moves and when i finsih the move i can pivot however i want. now if my tank does not move during the movement phase. i can still pivot on the spot in my shooting phase yes? i know if i move i cannot pivot in shooting phase. reason why i ask is my GW is closed and i normally cal them for rules questions. and secondly i have always played that pivoting is allowed in shooting phase so long as no movement occured my reason for beleiveing this is on page 58 under moving and shooting vehciles - vehicles that remained stationary may fire all of their weapons (remember pivoting on the spot does not count as moving.) please help Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188637-pivoting-in-shooting-phase/ Share on other sites
Ashe Darke
You can pivot for free in the movement phase and it will still be allowed to shoot as if it didn't move but this is the phase to do it in, not the shooting phase. Dezartfox
Indeed, you can't pivot in the shooting phase, had this come up in the GT heat 2, I thought you could if you hadnt moved, but it's been removed since 4th edition :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188637-pivoting-in-shooting-phase/#findComment-2232027 Share on other sites
rat of vengence
I concur. Movement phase only, with no penalty. RoV Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188637-pivoting-in-shooting-phase/#findComment-2232061 Share on other sites

LPetersson
On page 11 it's stated that only infantry can turn to face what they want to shoot at in the shooting phase... Ceddyn
my reason for beleiveing this is on page 58 under moving and shooting vehciles - vehicles that remained stationary may fire all of their weapons (remember pivoting on the spot does not count as moving.) The rule you quote does not allow you to pivot in the shooting phase (as others have already answered). It just allows you to fire all weapons, because you have not moved.
