Gone for a desert scheme to go with the basing on my space wolves. Just trying to decide on camoflage pattern! or no camoflage...?

also toying with the idea of painting the turrets in different colours to the hull (e.g. a very light grey, white, or dark flesh sort of colour?).

anyway, any ideas, cheers!

Tank looks great. I love the camo - did you use a stencil / airbrush or just a tank brush? I've been toying over an urban camo scheme on my sm tanks - might borrow your technique if you'll tell me, but with greys :)

How many points is that behemoth in a game??

Hi there TOMMY :)

The pattern was made by laying strips of masking tape (to form a randomish triangle pattern) until the whole tank was covered, then I sprayed it green :)

Yes I think you should use the pattern! it would look great in grey cammo!!

Thanks! as for points, I think its in the 350pt range, can't wait to see if its any good (or even if its not, it was so easy/quick to make and paint!

Hi there cheers :( not sure what you mean about the obvious pattern... its based on extant panzer camo... Yeah its to go with my spacewolves (who are all desert based) but is still an imperial guard tank, thanks!

Although we do understand that the original Marine legions did have access to the Felblade, which has allowed the tank to wiggle its way onto the forum, your current model itself does not have any strong indicators that it is for a Space Wolves army. Although the camo paint scheme is understandable, the scheme itself is not helping encourage the notion that the tank is for a SW army. In addition, the lack of any simple SW regalia or décor is not helping support the arguement that the tank is for a SW army.

Unless there is any changes, either to the tank to support the SW support role OR your primary SW army to re-inforce the current paint theme behind the tank, the thread will be closed as it falls outside the purview of the B&C as the ' HellHamer' is classified as an Imperial Guard vehicle, and thus non-PA.

You are joking me right? Its just a paint scheme, and the tank falls under the command of my growing space wolves army, I don't have to stick space wolves iconography all over it to meet the powerarmoured armies only requirement. The tank will remain as is, you can lock the post if you like, but, as you can read from the majority of the comments, folks are interested, and can understand exactly where I'm coming from. I think to lock it would have no positive benefit to the board, and is not acting within the boards rules.

edit: however, on slightly more reasonable thought, I can understand where you are coming from. The tank is part of a theme in my army (on a crusade on a desert world, I'll also be making the 'opposing' army as well). I didn't want to add spacewolves iconography directly, but had toyed with painting a 'mural' depicting the symbols of all the space marine forces the tank has had the honour of serving with. I would think that, with the addition of the apocolypse rules set, and the flexibility shown by GW, that this tank can stay. Thanks.

Whooahh! Those are some of the best Space Wolves ever! From their poses, down to the grittiness of their armour, and their facial expressions. Is the breastplate the model in the middle using an MK4 chestpiece? I like how you painted it gold- looks ornate. :)

Rhino looks great as well, nice use of colours and lettering.

Hey (sorry for the delay!) - Thanks for the info Nurglepuss, will deffo be trying that on my razorback (will post pictures when I've done). In terms of spray, anyone know of any good grey paint (should I just get a grey undercoat from GW or is there a better option?).

Love your space wolves, especially that razorback. I remember seeing it when you posted it last, its still great :tu:

Let us know how your Hellhammer gets on in battle - I imagine it will draw fire from every single lascannon on the opposite side in the first turn!!
