cheers guys I really appreciate all the kind words, sorry it takes me ages to get back to you but I'll get it done now

Sassmaw- yes I can....http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?showtopic=189013

sgtNACHO-he does indeed look aggressive , I would imagine he's barking orders or something along those lines showing more of his warrior side, though I definitely see your point hes not the most handsome looking fella in this pic

IronDuke-the sword does look smaller at the base but thats lazy lighting on my part (slaps wrist)

commander alexander- that too! nice save cheers

Vash113,Chaptermaster Graymantle,ArchHeretic,stinkenheim-there are some serious issues with the the perspective in this pic making sanguinius look maaaaasive, this is down to my inability to draw terrain e.g the rocks sanguinius is standing on they should have separated him a lot more from the two furthest marines, size wise he should be in comparison to the middle marine, though a titan sized primarch would be pretty awesome

insectus-Usually it would take a couple of days , but I've been procrastinating with this pic because I wasn't sure how to get the colour in so I've adding to it a bit at the time, but the colour and fx I finished of in a day, which is probably why it's got the messed up perspective, heres what the stages looked like oh and yes I used photoshop CS3

thanks again for the support dudes you rock

I like it, it's very loose and gritty, and is a lovely piece despite some of the perspective issues (they're minor, and I'm tired, so I won't get into it unless you want me to, in which case you're more than welcome to PM me and I can get back to you).

At any rate, the only issue I want to bring up at this point is the "flow" of the piece, whereby you have a lot of diagonal lines going from top left, to bottom right. Since the eyes naturally start at the top left (or right), we are immediately pulled by all this movement to the bottom right where...half a marine helmet is there to greet us. And then our eyes sit there.

I think it would do wonders if you took Sanguinuis' right wing (or as we're looking at it, his left), and flipped it horizontally, so that it flowed from top right to bottom left. Then you get a nice circular motion going from the marine's helmet, up his sword, along Sanguinuis' right wing to his head, then his left wing which draws us down to the marine helmet again and round and round we go.

It keeps the viewer looking and focused on the piece without leading him to nowhere or off the page.

Just a thought.
