I just recently finished painted a Forgeworld Brass Scorpion for a friend and was really pleased with it and wanted to share it with all of ya'll. I had to make do with the camera I have and hopefully the pics come out ok. Maarten Posted January 3, 2010 Share Posted January 3, 2010 thats brilliant!! That says it all. When I first looked at it I thought the red was a bit messy and badly highlighted. But then I looked closer and noticed the dozens of skulls, AND I LOVED IT. Mettalics are really nice, and the skulls are still bugging me, as in how the hell you did them. stormcrow Posted January 3, 2010 Author Share Posted January 3, 2010 I painted the skulls by first airbrushing the layers onto the armor plates, then I went in and added the fine detail with a paint brush and then blended all the reds in. When I get a sec I will post some of the WIP shots that I took to show you what I mean. I wasn't even aware that you could make tiny details like that with an airbrush (+ a detail brush, but still). Question, what is your recipe for the metal parts, e.g. the cabled sections?
