Absolutely in awe of all your work...

And those are some of the best Space Wolves I've ever seen!

Exactly the colour I've been struggling to acheive on my own Wolves... Not Grey/Green and not Baby Blue.

With that in mind, I know you've mentioned you work it up from Fenris Grey, but could I be a pain and ask for more info on how you do the power armour?

Anyway, truly inspiring!

Seconded. All brushwork? Or airbrush?

Also, this has come a long way since I last checked in to this thread. Gets awesomer every time. Keep it up.

Duma: Start with Fenris Grey and then wash with Devlan Mud. This is then painted over with Shadow Grey, Fortress Grey and Space Wolves Grey in thin layers building up to the highlights. Hope that helps and thanks for your kind words.

Verpine: brushwork in the main. I airbrush vehicles and base coats etc but after that it's all brush.

Balmephinstei: Cheers mate. I've a FW World Eaters LR to do very soon. Keep your eye on here and you'll see it. ;)

Librarian complete finishing this commission. ;)

Looks great! How do you do the gold on the SG/Dante?

Thanks! It's a fairly straight forward process. I basically paint them gold and give them a wash of black. I then layer up progressively brighter golds (adding silver) until I get an almost pure silver for the edges. This is then washed with ogre flesh. Hope that helps.

Really nice man. Smooth colours, subtle highlighs, seemless transitions and consistently well done :D

The only criticism I could make is the vents on the Sang Guard jump packs seem unfinished to me when they are the same colour as the rest of the pack

IronKobra: Cheers! Thanks for your positive comments. I do agree on the 'unused' look of the packs but due to time constraints I don't have time to improve them.

Two more done.

Magicman: Thanks mate! Happy to help you with your question. I paint them Hawk Turquoise. This is followed by a wash of black. I then feather lighter and lighter Hawk Turquoise tones upto the blade edges and finally give them a wash of green. Lightning is added last with thinned white. Hope that helps.

Verpine: cheers! :P

Just got this set finished.

Love those wings too, definitely bookmarked.

I am hoping to have a stab at some SG myself, could I ask you to reply with colors and how you achieved the result?

Thanks mate!

For the armour start with a black undercoat followed by a shining gold base coat. This is washed black before highlighting starts. Using the same gold feather the colour towards the edges to start building up the mid toned areas. Then use burnished gold to add in feathered highlights. Finally add some mithril silver to the burnished gold to make it lighter and again pick out the edges etc. Lastly wash it all with ogre flesh.

For the wings start with Astonomican Grey washed with Azurmen Blue. Then build up with feathered layers Space Wolves Grey followed by White. Hope that helps.
