Twin Linked Autocannons For Dreadnoughts

So, I want to try a Dreadnought with dual TL ACs. As you know the kits don't come with them. I tried Forgeworld, but the left and right guns don't match. And for some reason items wont go into the shopping cart for me. (Shrugs)

So. Any idea where i can find some TL ACs for my Dreadnought? Or maybe a way of making my own?

Thanks,

Pup.

Just for reference, the standard SM Auto Cannons on FW do match (left and right). The third option from FW is the Right arm auto Cannon for the Mk IV model, that's the one with the exposed ammo shells in the drum magazines (that's what it looks like to me anyway). I have one of each for both a Ven MkIV dread with auto cannon and power fist, plus a dual auto cannon option.

As for making your own, you could always take a left and right arm and play with some tubing and barrels for ammo drums. My first attempt was to customise a las cannon, filing the ends flat and adding drum mags for that ultimate first impression giveaway.

GW puts a nice Planet Strike Aegis Defence Line model out that has a double left side right side AC on top of it. It takes some conversion work but nothing crazy. fairly cheap too.

This is a good idea, take the LC and ML arms, chop off the LCs and file down the missiles, attach the autocannons to the front and the ammo barrels to the sides, should work like a charm.

If you can get an extra TL-Lascannon arm, it works great for the right arm. Just chop off the barrels and replace with IG weapon team autocannons.

I'm still wrestling with the left arm ... I plan on converting a ML arm the same way or building one from the ground up.

I'll also confirm that the FW arms match, I've seen them on a friends dread and they look good.
