blooddeath
hi, brothers. I'm curious about the wolf guard terminator set box. Well, I'm not a guy preferred terminators' head without helmet~ so can someone inform me if there is 5 heads model with helmet in that box? I appreciate your help~ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188792-about-wolf-guard-box-set/ Share on other sites

blooddeath
Thanks for your reply. Also, another question come to my mind. You know, my chapter is still based on codex so that I don't want my models looks like spacewolf's, (just in case others think my army is a spacewolf team) so if I don't put the adoration piece on wolf guard terminators and meanwhile if I paint differently, is my idea applicable? Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
when it comes to painting a model, they should (imo) atleast give a reference to whatever army codex they come from. so while your models might be painted a different color, as long as your using the wolfy bits, or enough wolfy bits to identify them as belonging to the SW codex, you shoudl be fine. i only believe this because i am sick of forgeting what army i am playing (momentarily usually) because the owner switches codex's faster than underwear. if i can glance at a unit, and see its weapons chained to the arms (black templars), a unusally nordic sword (space wolves) or alot of dresses (dark angels), then all is well regardless of color. infyrana
From an in-experienced side of things in terms of competitions or multitudes of games, I slightly disagree. One of the things that made me switch from building a Dark Angels Deathwing army to a Blood Angels army (apart from the overuse of Chaplains and the DC) was another player's army for 3rd ed. He quite clearly made the comment that his army used the BA codex, but was not a BA chapter, but a home grown chapter. His army was painted in a multitude of very cohesive bright blues, reds and yellows, with white Death Guard models, and even oily type purple mix colours on one of the sergeants. However, the entire army was themed on Blood Angels, and more importantly of all - sported beakie heads throughout, causing me to completely rebuild my already sizeable collection. Normally I hate colours and hated how he had modelled his death company, but those beakies and his VAS unit really got my attention. Nothing in the way his army looked demonstrated anything remotely Blood Angel like - apart from the multiple melta's in the VAS unit. Making it clear to your opponent before the match as to which codex rules you are using is pretty key. Keeping it consistent for the game you are playing is absolute, but between games, I don't see why a player can't substitute another codex to use with their army providing they adhere completely to the rules. If you are at a competition and sporting Blood Angel or Space Wolf livery all over your shoulder pads, one would assume that you'd be using their codex, I'd avoid the use of set livery if you plan to use a different codex. But just because you refuse to hang wolf tassles from your gun barrel, or sport cloaks to clutter up your Mk6 corvus armoured legs, or even wish to go along with this new found idea that BA's must be vampires because of their lust for blood during (sorry, don't agree with that hehe)... it doesn't mean you shouldn't be playing with their codicies in my humble opinion. That's my 2 pennies worth, and of course just my personal opinion only, other and more experienced players will differ :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188792-about-wolf-guard-box-set/#findComment-2234142 Share on other sites
