Thanks guys!!!

The only thing I would have done was completely reworked the side armor, added a ramp in the back, and perhaps even removed the little raised section the turret is mounted onto. Give the tank a Space Marine look rather than an Imperial Guard look. For these reasons alone I intend to scratch build my Fellblade.

I haven't seen recent pictures of troops but if memory serves me correctly they are not normal wolf colors, yes? The camouflage does look good and fitting for an imperial tank.

Thanks all (you rock Jonny!).

Sorry, just to clarify, its still an 'imperial guard' hellhammer, but is attached to my space wolves. I'm tempted to add a banner, with the tanks& space wolf iconography, but I do have a desire to paint a few pdf to aid my wolves....

thanks again guys!!

Hi, Nurglespuss,

As usually an excellent job. I especially like the weathering. A quick question cause I suck with vehicles. Did you use an airgun or a brush to apply the paint coats? I lot of modelers say that airbrushing is the best way to do it.

Hi Nightrunner, cheers!

I've tried using an airbrush (I've got a nice compressor, a badger and a top loader) and have had no luck! I must be doing something wrong, though, I'm not sure what...

Instead I've been sticking to traditional stippling techniques ;) the base layer bas tau sept ochre over black, then iyanden dark son, then adding dheneb stone, and orking it up to a final dry brush with white. This was then washed down with ogryn flesh (stippled on in sections, and, using a wet drivel brush, stippled again to make sure it blends). the tank was then masked off, and I used humbrol spray to spray on the green sections, I then dry brushed to match, and ogryn fleshed the new areas. Finally, a mix of bestial brown/chaos black/badab black was lined into the recesses. the 'dirt' araes were done by stippling on bestial brown (thin coats, take a little time) and thats about it really!

Thanks again, and I hope that helps some. Once I get back to Uni, I'll be able to start on my second dread, and I'll be doing a 'painting guide' on that one, to show the stippling method :tu:

I do wish I could use an airbrush though... I've had it for a year, and pull it out every now and then, but even though I very carefully follow the guides, use the right paint, and check the equipment is thoroughly clean, I just cant get it to work!
