chilliaddict
is the +1 attack included in the profile for units like squad sergeants or can i still add one for two weapons? furthermore does a space marine terminator sergeant with a power sword get the +1 as well? how about vanguards and etc? any help would be great. thanks in advance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188892-is-the-1-attack-for-having-two-weapons-included/ Share on other sites
Brother Captain Josef
Still add one for two weapons. Sergeant: 2A +2 ccw = 3A (4 when he charges). Hope this clears it up for you. greatcrusade08
the attacks listed under each unit/models profile is thier base attacks. ontop of this you add modifiers so: Chargers get +1A models with 2 ccw get +1A special wargear like chapter banners give +1A. so its possible to more than double a minis base attacks. a terminator sergeant has power sword and storm bolter, so wouldnt get the +1A for 2ccw as the storm bolter is not a pistol. He would still get +1A for charging though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188892-is-the-1-attack-for-having-two-weapons-included/#findComment-2235259 Share on other sites
awfulawful
In some cases certain pieces of wargear that must be taken (meaning they are not optional upgrades and and cannot be replaced by anything else) may state in their descriptions that they grant additional attacks or other stat line bonuses, and it is often specified that this is included in the profile. An example of that is Yarrick's bionic eye with the built in laser. In the case of a SM sergeant, with the wargear choices available the sergeant may not necessarily have to CCWs, so the extra attack granted by the unmodified wargear choices would not be reflected in the profile. thade
Keep in mind that since the statline is base attacks, the Sergaent (for instance) gets 2 base attacks thus he gets two attacks when wielding a power fist or thunder hammer (which does not allow an extra attack for an offhand CCW). That is... Sergeant with Chainsword or Boltsword or Power Weapon + bolt pistol = 3 attacks (2 base + 1 offhand) Sergeant with Powerfist or Thunderhammer + bolt pistol = 2 attacks (2 base, doesn't get the offhand bonus) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188892-is-the-1-attack-for-having-two-weapons-included/#findComment-2236947 Share on other sites
chilliaddict
thanks guys. you really helped me clear up some doubts. a vanguard veteran with powerswords basically gets 3 attacks each and 4 on the charge right? You got it. 2 base attacks, +1 for the offhand, +1 for the charge, all cumulative. =) I run vanguard very, very often; they're fun.
