WIP Nurgle Terminators(pic heavy)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I recently decided that i want to learn to sculpt so i bought a few tools and stuff and decided a decent way of getting familiar with the stuff would be to sculpt a few things on the loyalist terminators i had lying around.

These are what I've come up with thus far:

Terminator 1:

Terminator 2:

I tried sculpting a Plaguebearer/Nurgling head growing from the shoulder plate of this astartes and i think it's decent:

Terminator 3:

This was the first time i tried scuplting a head shape as seen by the snall deamonic head growing from the left of the marines torso:

Terminator 4:

I had a few spare terminator legs and only the fronts to the torsos so i had to get creative here:

The thing on his back is supposed to be a Daemon of Nurgle possessing the marine and slowly molding him to his shape and purpose.I'm also working on a head for him too:

Sculpting a useable head is alot harder than i ever expected(i didnt expect it too be easy, but its still really hard) so this guy is more practice than anything.

I'm hoping to get these undercoated tomorrow so i can start the painting.

Hope you like them. ;)

Cheers,

Mike.

Best thing in the world for GS practise is to play with some Nurgle. You're keeping things smooth, probably the most important thing, well done for a first try. Sculpting a head is hard, I prefer using Super Sculpy then GS for the details. Your head using pure GS in one go is impressive, keep up the good work.

Hi,

Capt. Lysander and smallvictory thanks for the comments and I'm glad you like them.

Small update as I've been busy with music related things.I've begun to paint one of the Terminators to work out a scheme for the whole squad and possibly an army if i like the finished model.

This is still WIP by the way. ^_^

Aside from being a good test subject for Greenstuff, this model was also a good chance to have a mess about with the few washes i have.

The metallics still need dimming down before i apply some highlights, and the eyes need finishing too.The green armour is finished.

Comments appreciated,

Mike.
