Space wolves HQ and Pack Markings

What colors are used for the right shoulder pads of Rune Priests and of Wolf lords/WGBL? I'm working on assembling/painting my first Space Wolf army, and while the codex has be very helpful for Grey Hunters and Long Fangs, it doesn't have much on HQ choices with regards to painting.

It's kind of open to whatever you want to do. According to the codex all Rune Priests, Wolf Priests, Iron Priests, and Dreadnaughts belong to the Great Wolf's Great Company, so technically they should have his symbol on their left Shoulderpad, (except for the dreadnaughts of course), which leaves the right pad open to whatever. You could possibly go with the Wolf that Stalks between the Stars on the right pad and whatever Great Company marking the rest of your army is using on the left....you could paint something personal for each one since they are individual characters.

Well, there isn't a straight answer for this one really. For the Wolf Guard, you can choose to paint the right shoulder either in the black and yellow of the WG, or in the colour of the pack he is joining(if WGBL). If thay are in terminator armour, the Crux Terminatus is on the left shoulder, and the right shoulder should therefore be painted with the company markings. Wolf Priests dosent have any special markings that I'm aware of, but often have skulls and stuff on their right shoulderpad, so I would paint them the black of Logans Great Company, or the basecolour of your Great Company. I don't think there really is a right or wrong here.
