Verythrax Draconis
Does anyone have a scan of the old RT book? I've got to see this for myself. EDIT: I checked out the old RT book, and there's not a legion listing in there. Where was the first one printed? The oldest list I found is on Codex Ultramarines for the 2nd edition. Cohort
Alright. Thanks, Verythrax, I just checked it out. There are no "pencil smudges" or anything. Its all printed: "Unknown- All records destroyed following the Horus Heresy". I think, what happened in real life, was the writers of the Ultramarine 'dex (which became the general space marine 'dex) decided to pick the first founding legions, and when faced with all of the choices from the RT book, couldn't decide on the last two and left them blank. Forced to decide if they should squeeze two of the other "chapter" in there, they decided to leave them blank to add some mystery to the Heresy. Indigo
Sorry, I confused things there. Check 4th ed. Space Marine codex it's in there, the pencil erasing bit. Piousservant
I have a feeling that there is a another brief reference to the missing Legions in A Thousand Sons. When Mortarion confronts Magnus at the Triumph of Ullanor, Magnus mentions the last time the Primarchs all met together. Mortarion angrily responds that they all been forbidden to ever speak of it again. No new information, as such, but based on what has been previously mentioned in the Heresy books it is very likely a reference to what happened to the missing Legions (or one of them anyway)... Yeah, seems like it was and Ullanor that the destiny of the missing legions was stated to the primarchs. Walter Payton
Just to be a fluff pedant, the LotD are NOT a lost legion. It has, unfortunately, been confirmed they are the Fire Hawks. I would point you to WD99 US/UK. Sorry laddies. Octavulg
What happens on Ullanor, stays on Ullanor. I can say no more. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188996-two-unknown-legions/page/6/#findComment-2290659 Share on other sites
Dark Apostle Thirst
What happens on Ullanor, stays on Ullanor. I can say no more. Oh no. I think Octavulg is might be a primarch :) OT, that shoots down my lost theory. I think they were punished but kept captive. gil galed
Revs. kept in the vaults of terra for being corrupted by c'tan and null/pariah marines is still my bet, makes sense, it wasn't chaos and they didn't just get lost or it wouldn't be such a tradgedy, so whats the only other big player in the galaxy? Lorgars Servent
Thier are other intersting parts in A Thousand Sons aswell during a conversation between Arhiman and Lemuel mentions that thier was talk of dispanding the Thousand sons for Genetic Instability and expunging all records of them from imperial History. Lemual says that thier will always be a record nomater how though sombody doesnt want one. Arhiman Relpies "Dont be so sure Lemuel the Emperors wrath is a terrible thing" since Arhiman is one of the first Terrans of the thousand sons I guess he refers to the other two legions Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/188996-two-unknown-legions/page/6/#findComment-2293627 Share on other sites

Sorry to have missed this but there's a printed list in the 2nd ed Codex Imperials book (basically the background book). Which was out at least a couple of months before C:U. Its clear typing, no smudges, and just says "Deleted from Imperial Records"... Raises the interesting question though - do the Eldar have records about them?
