Asrech Posted January 14, 2010 Share Posted January 14, 2010 Haha well he'll be dead, and back, soon enough ;) Ok, cause honestly he sticks out too much from the rest of the squad on a big base, it looks cool by himself, but when there's 10 or so guys around him it looks a litte weird. Standing on a helmet works, be sure to paint it as a ultramarine ;) Thanks, been basing with gravel, converting and scraping moldlines all night :devil: , planing on getting that done tonight so I can prime them. I'd say a wash of fleshwash over the gold, then a highlight of gold gold/mithril would make it pop ( Brother Honda posted a good tut in my Ares wip thread ). Mabe a red ink wash over the wings? I like the gree glow on the plasma, came out nice :lol: Then finaly on the base, go over the edge with black to clean it up, that will make it look more tidy :P All in all a good model :) And the base looks ace! As usual, great work on the lightning: it's always the first thing that catches my eyes when I look over your miniatures. They're like miniature storms ;). Bit late on this front, but I'm normally a fan of introducing straps for equipment that are attached , like the auspex. And pouches for infiltrators! But I think I have a pouch fetish.
