Albion de Heaven
Hi all, i'm sure that this question has alredy be discussed but i can't find and good topic about this. I'm trying to understand how to allocate wounds on units moving through dangerous terrain. let's say we have 10 marine, 7+sgt+melta+heavy the step into dangerous terrain and roll a d6 for each model stepping into but i have to roll at the same time or separately? I mean can i roll 10 dice and than assing all 1 as wounds where i prefer or i have to roll 7 dice for bolter, and 1 each to special marines? I remember we used to roll model for model during assault phase to check if the model got killed and the assault fails but that is specified in the rules... thank you Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189196-dangerous-terrain-test-and-wound-allocation/ Share on other sites
JamesI
Dangerous terrain is a per-model roll, not per-unit. So, if the sergeant enters the dangerous terrain, he rolls. If he rolls a 1, he dies. avatar8481
Is that actually explicitly spelled out somewhere? It's how I play it, and I think that's correct, but so few other things in the game are on a per model basis it seems inconsistent. Yes, under the rules for Dangerous Terrain tests, it states "model", not "unit". Frogstaff
It's the same way that 'Gets Hot!' works. The rules specifically state it effects a particular model.
