Saga of the Hunter

Okay to make this really clear, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SCOUTS, DO NOT EVEN MENTION THEM.

So I have a question to do with saga of the hunter. If the model with said saga is being held in reserves to be deployed with a unit, will he and that unit still be able to outflank, as he is attached to that unit?

*blinks* Yes. Assuming that unit could anyways.

The problem being that only one unit in our codex can outflank- scouts.

Wich leads us right back into that bit again.

Basicly I believe that the FAQ shows us what should be common sense- that hes using the end rule "outflank" and so doesnt force the unit to lose their rules as they are also using "outflank".

I did go through the official FAQ and did not see a question pertaining to Saga of the Hunter in this situation.

So youre saying that since outflank isn't a rule, its just a form of deployment from reserves, that the unit he is with also benefits from the saga.

No, they dont- but they dont lose outflank *as some suggested* when he joins them, bungling the whole thing.

He doesnt confer his deployment abilities to the squad... theres no provision for that anywhere in the rules that I can find.

What makes you think its a possibility?

you cant have him join a unit of bloodclaws and then outflank... no, its just wrong and nasty....

wolf scouts are the only unit able to outflank in our army, if a character with SOTH joined them they would still be able to outflank/BEL

units without infiltrate/scout (the rule which enables them to outflank) dont benefit from the characters outflank rule just because he is there
