Some were really easy, others were hard. But based on song lyrics and the music I think these are fairly accurate representations.

I firmly believe that wh40k should be free of metal, epic classical is the only way forward!

Personally, I believe that Neodammerung Navras from the Matrix Reloaded fits Horus

I always enivsion Corax with Two Steps from Hell-Sons of War

Protectors of the Earth-Lord Dorn

You fool, what have you done?! Now I'm addicted to Two Steps from Hell...

I'm kidding and agree with you 100%. These songs definitely describe the Primarchs very well.

I thought I'd throw in my 2cents on this one.

First off I thought I'd say that I reckon the Requiem for a Dream music goes very well with 40k in general;

I added a few for non Primarchs too. Down to business now;

Night Haunter; Criminally Insane - Slayer / Pity - Drowning Pool

Russ; Wolves - Machine Head / The Wolf is Loose - Mastodon

The Mechanicus; Five Magics - Megadeth (since technology is pretty much magic to a lot of them) / Gears of War - Megadeth

Lorgar; Holier Than Thou - Metallica

Angron; Genocide Junkies - Black Label Society / Indestructible - Disturbed / Bodies - Drowning Pool / The Rage To Overcome - Machine Head (could put in loads more for Angron too)

Corax; Back In Black - AC/DC

Vulkan; Where Dragons Dwell - Gojira / Fight Fire With Fire - Metallica

Perturabo; Battering Ram - Black Label Society

Dorn; Pain Redefined - Disturbed

Fulgrim; Nookie - Limp Bizkit (ha ha!)

Magnus; Circle of Cysquach - Mastodon (A song about a cyclopean sasquatch with mystical abilities... very appropriate!)

Ferrus; Iron Fist - Motorhead

Mortarion; Too Tough To Die - Black Label Society

The Emperor (on the Golden Throne); I Stand Alone - Godsmack

Horus (On Davin); I Dreamed I Died - Devildriver (best ones I can come up with so far). After Davin; I'm Your God Now - Machine Head

The Inquisition; 5 Minutes Alone - Pantera

And yes 40k and metal are two sides of the same coin. I'll add anymore good ones if I think of them.

Not sure if I've said it here before, but Genocide, by Ra, fits Night Haunter perfectly.

I mean, come on, the whole thing screams Night Haunter. An enhanced being created in anothers image, who hates what he is, is living through "programmed suicide", and even has a section which is the Haunter waiting for M'Shen.

I recently listened to one of my most favourite albums from years ago. I happed upon it again and hadn’t listened to it for years. So I stuck it on and the very first song made me think of Conrad Kurze the Night Haunter!

‘Black Trip’ by Samael (excerpted lyrics):

I've chosen the dark, I've chosen the night

I've lost hope of loving a day of life

The shades of night belong to me

I am at one with hell

Dead inside, I watch the time pass

I await the coming of my day

Sheltered from the regard and the rules of men

There colour is absent, light is black

Enemies of the sun, the phantoms of the shadows

Have taught me to delight in horror

Faces without eyes, and silent lips

Float in the immensity of empty space

A sweet melancholy fills my heart

Life as a whole seems absurd

Silence is so pure, so profound that it intoxicates

The emptiness, annihilates all

And nothingness takes it place

Surely Guillliman has to be -
by Eiffel 65 - I'm not sure if those of you outside of Europe were ever 'fortunate' enough to experience such quality music!

Da Ba Dee Da Ba Die Da Ba Dee Da Ba Die Da Ba Dee Da Ba Die!

:D

The very first time I heard it I swear I thought they were singing “I’m blue, in Aberdeen I will die, in Aberdeen…” :P
