Skirnir Ragefang
I have been playing with different setups for my Grey Hunter Squads. They will be mechanized so its one of two options: 5 Grey Hunters Wolf Standard/Mark of the Wulfen/ Flamethrower or Meltagun Razorback sync'd Heavy Bolters or 9 Grey Hunters Wolf Standard/Mark of the Wulfen/ Flamethrower or Meltagun Rhino each is joined by a Wolf guard armed with a Combimelta and a Powerfist. My main opponent is playing Infantry Guard, so the Packs in Razorbacks would mean more targets for him. As we know Heavy Bolters kill Guardsmen. More Squads can assault more enemies andwith multiple assaults rout more than one Squad. Larger Squads can easily hit multiple enemy squads, can take more casualties, can fire out of the Rhinos hatch. As i mainly play smaller games, 1000pts or 1250, Grey Hunters are the mainstay of my assault troops. So, which one would you prefer? Ravenger
rhino, you could always throw a runepriest in there and shoot some Living lightning or murderous hurricane at guardsmen from the hatch, and still have a bigger squad for scoring/assaulting. Evilbob
I like a mix, usually take 1 Razorback for every 2 Rhinos or so. The Rhinos are full of guys that go forward to clear the enemies out of objectives and good firing positions while smaller squads in razorbacks move up to hold those positions.
