Wolf Guard Dan
Please bring ONE LONE WOLF XD its glorious all the way brother :) Yeah unfortunately I was killing the bugs too fast for him to get into contact with big bugs. And when I did the Trygon Prime didnt attack him because he wanted to try to claim the ojective. I should have told him that he was Fearless, then I would have been attacked. Tryanids have completely changed the meta-game for an all-comers build. Marines could previously get by with just loading up on melta and flamers. Whilst they are still somewhat effective versus Tyranids, you probably don't want to be that close. Missile Launchers and Plasma Cannon were the unwanted step-children of the 'Heavy' section. I also don't like how a Rune Priest is effectively obligatory now. I do see what you are saying. But I cannot fully agree because I think that every player has his idea of a balanced list. Rune Priests dispell is very helpful against Tyranids, especially zoanthropes. But zoanthropes are weak and will die from bolter fire. So rune priests are not necesarry. Bringing Njal and a rune priest was a given because I knew that everyone and their mothers would be bringing max carnifexes. I knew that I would be facing mass Tyranids so I brought a list to cater to that. I brought 600 points of termies, which I would not normally do but I knew I could afford the low model count because I had 8 other allies. I agree that you do not want to be that close, but you are going to be that close whether you like it or not. Flamers and melta guns are useful for hordes and t4 3w units, respectively. LOL- I think that ML are very effective and I bring them in every list I can. Plasma cannons not so much because I do not like overheating.
