Legion Of The Damned

Hi guys,

This may be a stupid question, but.... Can we take legion of the damned? Is it just an oversight that they are not in the SW codex?

I bought them all for my ultramarines, who i have now given up on in favour of the wolves.

So thats all really, can we take them?

Oh, here goes another one, just after that question about LS Storm....

The answer being - of course we cannot, just as the Thunderfire cannon, vermnguards ann, strangely, Storm Land Speeder.

You don't have to bite off his head! . Like they have already said, if you like the models and want to use them, then you can with Apoc games. But I do agree that it doesn't make sense fluff-wise that they wouldn't appear from nowhere to save the day for the SW as they would for any other SM Chapter. It's just a decision for game balance purposes, although a crappy one nonetheless.

Yeah it does seem odd, but maybe the more 'vanilla' chapters need the legions help more than we, the blood angels, black templars and dark angels do? Perhaps its down to interference? Space wolves (fluff wise now) have the potential of the 13th company turning up to help, while dark angels have the diminutive watchers in the dark, blood angels are vampires and have the death company, while black templars would probably burn them as witches or warp spawn etc.

In a game of apocolypse, it would be great to see them. However, if you want them because they look cool, then why not field them as power armoured wolfguard? and just 'call' them legion of the damned?

And Night Runner, your right, people gotta cut folks a little more slack! This isn't a school, college or work place, mistakes are loved and adored, every little lone of them.

we got so many toys and options, why would you want to use them, I wont be using anything out of the SM dex, Its a shame i cant use the ironclad, but only be course i love dreads in general for there look

The easy answer is they look frickin' awesome, I agree that the SW elites are better choices, I plan to get a 10 man and will likely use them as PA WG, in friendly games I may ask an opponent to field them as LotD, but only when we're there to have a good time.

-Huzzah

why don't you use the models then and wolf them up?

I wouldn't want to Wolf the LotD up. Wolves look freaking awesome and the whole fire, doom & purgation theme is as cool if not cooler than fangs, pelts & beards. If I were to combine the pure awesome that is the SW & LotD together on the same models, it may cause an explosion that destroys the entirety of the 41st millenium.

Space wolves (fluff wise now) have the potential of the 13th company turning up to help,

Okay now that would be cool,

SM Player: "Haha my Legion of the Damned will destroy you... uhh what are those crazy wolf looking guys that just deep-striked?"

SW Player: "Oh these, they are my 13th company, basically imagine Space Wolves and Legion of the Damned fused together and given Mark of the Wulfen."

SM Player: "Oh crap....."

<_<

CainTheHunter.......As the person who posted about the Land speeder storm i think people who ask questions deserve a civil answer. We may not have the "in depth knowledge" that you have. Who has the right to judge a question stupid, pointless or dumb????? Any questions are asked because the asker is unsure/unclear about a certain issue. A simple answer is all that was needed! I am a new player, i just hope i dont get that attitude if i have any othe questions
Pffff if thats the case then i will have to think twice about this forum then.. Thought we were all "friendly" towards one another (like it should be)

The vast majority here are all very friendly and more than willing to answer your questions, so don't mind King Tiger, deep down he is really a nice, furry and playful kitten trying to act tough.

There is no Space Wolf forum better than our Fang. Trust me on that.

Edit: And welcome to the Fang BarmyAndy, have an ale on me. #passes him CainTheHunter's pitcher#

Yes welcome! As one of the oldest wolves here, don't pay any attention to the growling of a few young pups, that's how we do it around here. It puts more hair on your chest!

But in all seriousness, we get a little rowdy every once in a while, but trust me, you will find your time spent here very rewarding. And by all means, ask those questions :cuss
