I finally have access to a camera, let the torrent of images begin!

First up command squad.

Unfortunately the camera dulls the green, it's a bit more vibrant in real life.

The mix of the green is a closely guarded secret, it stops a friend I play against from painting up dead marines in my chapter to adorn their foul chaos tanks!

As for getting a smooth finish when painting the answer is simply that many thinned down coats are always better than one thick coat.

Talking of white, here are my 2 finished Sternguard.

I was asking because I'm just starting to paint an army in a similar scheme myself, only more Goblin Greenish. I can understand your reason for not wanting to share the recipe though. I guess I'll just be experimenting to get it right then. :o

 

Oh and the scary thing, I have a similar scheme with a similar Chapter symbol, wierd huh? I've just got a bit more white and a slightly different green. Your awesome marines shall act as my inspiriation.
