An Angry Marine
One hell of a paint job you've done there Hal. The green is phonominal; the banner is extremly well done. Just a good job all around. I've always loved the heavy flamer conversions using the Termie HF. Good job. -Mac Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189750-hals-viridian-knights/page/2/#findComment-2250171 Share on other sites
Keyoz Devastrius
Your marines look great ,but do you really think eight pointed star is a good idea for a loyalist chapter symbol? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189750-hals-viridian-knights/page/2/#findComment-2250214 Share on other sites
Capt. Lysander
Extremely good work here, mate. The green is smooth, and details are very crisp and clear. The standard is amazing. Keep it up! Hal
I finally got the rest of my army photographed so here they are: Scouts: Unfortunately the sergeant's first arm has gone awol so he is sporting a unpainted replacement for now. Vindicator "Dominatus" Land Raider "Decimus" That's it for now as I don't have a digital camera. C&C (and questions) are always welcome. Thanks for looking! EPK
These look great. I like the idea of giving the scout sergeant a intermediate type power armor helmet as if he has reached that stage of his training/implants. Isiah
Fantastic work. The hand lettering and iconography is excellent – typified by the skill in that Land Raider. Just like to say how well the base rims and surfaces set off the overall colour scheme. A good lesson in how well-considered basing can enhance models. The_Chaplain
how did you do the ornate panelling on the land raider door with the mural? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189750-hals-viridian-knights/page/2/#findComment-2261259 Share on other sites
Hal
@The_Chaplain I always draw freehand with a pencil first to make sure it all looks all right. Then fill in the blocks of colours before moving to highlights and shades using a few coats of thinned down paints. Thinning paints means they are easier to control and don't leave a lumpy texture. Then practice! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189750-hals-viridian-knights/page/2/#findComment-2261327 Share on other sites

chaplainmikey
I really like the shade of green your using, looks brilliant on power armour and the gold looks cracking alongside it. Good idea using all beakie helmets on the assault squad, its a nice touch. Mike.
