I finally got the rest of my army photographed so here they are:

Unfortunately the sergeant's first arm has gone awol so he is sporting a unpainted replacement for now.

Fantastic work. The hand lettering and iconography is excellent – typified by the skill in that Land Raider. Just like to say how well the base rims and surfaces set off the overall colour scheme. A good lesson in how well-considered basing can enhance models.

I always draw freehand with a pencil first to make sure it all looks all right.

Then fill in the blocks of colours before moving to highlights and shades using a few coats of thinned down paints.

Thinning paints means they are easier to control and don't leave a lumpy texture.

Then practice!

sorry, i think my question was unclear. I meant how did you do the panelling itself. greenstuff or plasticard
