Brother Remus
So I'm currently making four Long Fangs with Missle Launchers, with one Pack leader. Just wondering if anyone one knows some good poses for the ML's, got one kneeling with the ML down slightly, and one Stood up aiming. Prefferably I'd like another one looking casual, one at the ready. Any suggestions are welcome, pictures of your own if possible. WG Vrox
Tried to go with a split fire theme. May not be able to see it well but the third from the left is firing a missle. http://i435.photobucket.com/albums/qq71/WG_Vrox/Cannon09709.jpg Vrox Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189826-long-fangs/#findComment-2248721 Share on other sites
Demonslayer
Now I wonder how long you've had them for. Now I hope the ideas will keep rolling in, so when I come to do my Missile launchers they won't all look the same. WG Vrox
I have had the metal models for about 8 years, but just painted them last week. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189826-long-fangs/#findComment-2248780 Share on other sites

Chalx the grey
I'm building the same squad with a mix of the old and new wolf sprue torsos, and I'm also using the croaching legs from the devastator box (even though the pose looks a bit unbalanced) just for diversity. The combinations are endless...and so far I got at least an interesting pose you might like: You need to cut a bit of plastic in the arms to get them into position and also a bit of green stuff, but not hard to reproduce! wolf363839
Chalx the Grey, how do you paint the dark/black recessed areas of the armor? They look awesome. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189826-long-fangs/#findComment-2249918 Share on other sites
Demonslayer
I believe its done by painting the base a dark colour like black then paint each part of the armour in your chosen colour. Looks like his done Black as base, Shadow Grey as armour and Space Wolves Grey as highlights. Chalx the grey
Hey thanks, I do my best! I do black basecoating (spray), then fenris grey, then a mix of shadow grey and space wolves grey (which is the main colour) avoiding the parts I want to remain darker (armour grooves, or near black areas), then a final highlight with space wolves grey. Takes time but it is not difficult! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189826-long-fangs/#findComment-2251080 Share on other sites
Demonslayer
When you use the Fenris grey, do you paint the hole model or just the armour Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/189826-long-fangs/#findComment-2251118 Share on other sites
Chalx the grey
I paint each part of the armour solid with Fenris Grey, leaving black the areas separating these parts. As an example take the hand, each finger has three different parts...
