Sigismund Himself
The 2010 Librarium Painting Challenge It's 2010 and we all know that means it's time for the annual Librarium Painting Challenge (also known as the 'LPC'). Functioning as a chance for board members to make a New Year's Resolution to get some models painted by the end of March, the Librarium Painting Challenge offers both positive and negative motivation. The positive motivation is the promise of a newly minted Vow Complete signature, not to mention the glory and camaraderie of participating, while the negative motivation is the infamous Vow Failed signature and the requirement that you do an article for the Librarium (which is quite simple, really not much of a punishment;) ). So for anyone who received some models (board appropriate ones of course...) this Christmas and is yet to make a serious start on them, this is the perfect challenge for you :)For full rules and information, please click here. The PCA thread is also the place to pledge your vows. This year, the Librarium Painting Challenge is also hosting a challenge within a challenge. The newly introduced challenge is the LPC Subforum Challenge. In this, every subforum is pitted against one another in competition to see who can get the most completed vows. The winning subforum receives the title of LPC Champions (and bragging rights of course ), not to mention a subforum-specific Vow Completed signature. So get on board now and support your subforum! Remember that only completed vows count, so although your subforum may be smaller than some (*cough* Space Wolves *cough*), you can still win this Challenge if you prove more dedicated in your efforts than some of the more 'indisciplined' subforums (not mentioning any names here ;) ).And a last reminder that the Golden Bolter contest is still open for 12 more days.Currently the Dark Angels are leading the Space Wolves by 11 to 3. Will this stand? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190037-librarium-painting-challenge-2010/ Share on other sites
Sigismund Himself
Are Oldenhaller, Ladislao, chenley, dewi saint, Schertenleib, Wolf Lord Kieran and StormDragon the only Wolves brave enough to take the Challenge? A Vow count of 7 is only equal to the Ultramarines and 11 behind the Dark Angels... Wolf Guard Dansef
It's not quantity - it's quality ;) Â So in that respect - the DA can make as many vows as they like - we have no need to fear ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190037-librarium-painting-challenge-2010/#findComment-2254738 Share on other sites
Oldenhaller
If it's quality you intend then pledge to paint the greatest masterpiece you can, slavishly labouring over every detail for hours at a time! Make the fang proud and give the dress wearing, chaos tainted, fence sitters nothing to crow about! CainTheHunter
If the Scouts I ordered from one stockist will arrive within next two weaks, I will join. Otherwise, I don't have any current projects, which are still under 50% or any projects, big enough to motivate me :ermm:. Btw, scouts are not power armour models, so I wonder if they still count for this competition. Â We might not have as many pledges as the "dress wearers" but as long as we all complete our pledges we can still beat them!! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190037-librarium-painting-challenge-2010/#findComment-2255982 Share on other sites
Sigismund Himself
There's been a good surge of Vows for the Wolves, with both the Smurfs and Templars having been overtaken. But still the Dark Angels are ahead! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190037-librarium-painting-challenge-2010/#findComment-2257210 Share on other sites
stinkenheim
ok, i suppose i can offer something, if only to try and peg back those dress wearing eejits...  I pledge to paint my Venerable Dreadnaught and Wolf Guard leader... and although not technically a painting pledge i will try to have the bulk of my pre-heresy land raider conversion done too along wth my wolf scouts...  Andy  +edit+ added in converting scouts and changed to Ven dread as my pledge... more chance of it getting done. commander alexander
Now, are you counting pledges as each unit a person vows for, or each person vowing? :whistling: If its the first I would pledge more to beat the DAs, but if its the later, I will pledge again :) ! Sigismund Himself
One week left to enter! The Space Wolves are only in fifth, with the Chapters of Legend, Blood Angels, DIY chapters and Dark Angels ahead. What happened to the influx of Blood Claws? None proud enough to stand for their chapter's honour? :pinch: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190037-librarium-painting-challenge-2010/#findComment-2278254 Share on other sites
Kenmichi
Unfortunately with new Blood Angels coming out soon we aren't the FOTM anymore!
