Canis, Lord of the Wolfin, Fenrisians Wolves and Wolfkin

TWC have the special rule 'Wolfkin', that allow any Fenrisian Wolf unit within 12" to re-roll a failed Moral Test.

Canis has the special rule 'Lord of the Wolfkin', which allows any Fenrisian Wolf unit within 12" to use his Ld (8) in place of thier own (which is 7 due to Canis' inbuilt Saga of the Wolfkin).

Canis has now been FAQed to have the Special Rule 'Wolfkin' alongside 'Lord of the Wolfkin', so any Fenrisian Wolves within 12" of Canis can use his Ld *and* re-roll failed Moral Tests.

All cool.

But what happens if Canis is attached to a Fenrisian Wolf unit, which needs to take a Moral Test. Can they still use Canis' new 'Wolfkin' rule to get a re-roll?

Is it a Fenrisian Wolf unit taking the Moral Test, or does the inclusion of a Character on a Thunderwolf change this? And while normally it would be Canis (having the highest Ld) taking the Moral test, he would (due to his 'Lord of the Wolfkin' special rule) share the same Ld 8 as the Wolves he is attached to.

:/

That's what I'd use, but the other side of the coin is that it's no longer a Fenrisian Wolf unit that's taking the Moral Test (but *possibly* Canis, as he doesn't really have the highest Ld, thanks to his other rule), so they can't have a reroll, as Canis doesn't have a reroll.
