Hello, this will be brief. Skirax and myself have decided to do a story about a chaos invasion of an Imperial world, with him taking the role of the Imperial(scum) force :huh: Whilst i am(trying) to write the chaos side. This isn't really a story with major plot twists or nothing, so i hope your enjoy reading thanks!

 

 

Chapter 1: Beginning of the End,

 

 

Razar walked through the ruined streets of Sirux, buildings insides were exposed to the harsh environments of the outside world. Metal frames and pipes were exposed, rubble was strewn like litter across the streets; this wasn’t a city ravaged by war but ruled over by an apathetic and uncaring governor. As long as his wine flowed and his pockets were lined by the various industrial plants that dotted bout the city the governor did not bother to intervene in the lives of his cities populace. Razar spat at the mere thought of the governor and at how he and his fellow citizens had been abandoned by the corpse-god.

He revelled in the fact that tomorrow he would throw of the shackles of oppression and a new ruler would control the city. He pulled his hood tighter as a chilling wind blew down the dark street. He carried a large sack, on any other Imperial world this may of drawn attention to him, but the Arbites or local PDF did not dare to venture out of the palace grounds at night. Razar felt his heart beat quicken as he neared palace walls. The palace itself wasn’t very big in comparison to others through out the Imperium; it was H-shaped building and only stood two storeys tall. In each corner of the flat roof, stood a quad-barrelled auto cannon turret and at the centre of the roof was a landing pad where a red Aquila lander sat.

 

Razar looked down at his watch; just mere moments till the lights went off; thanks to the work of other individuals like himself. He took comfort that he wasn’t alone in the fight against the oppressive regime. He looked behind him at the row of buildings that stood as a last point before the mile wide barrier of ground between Sirux and the palace walls. Razar carefully placed his sack on the floor, not wanting to set the explosive off inside. Then the lights went out, shrouding the palace and city in darkness. Having grabbed the demo charges and a metal cylindrical object that he didn’t recognise Razar began to sprint towards the walls. Shouts of confusion echoed throughout the night, as the palace guards sought to find the source of the power cut. However loud bang and a huge fireball in the distance gave them their answer.

 

Razar leant against the cold rockcrete wall, catching his breath. He grasped the demo charges and placed them at the foot of the fall, using a torch he set the primers to one minute, activating the countdown he ran off back toward Sirux, all the while clinging on to the metal cylindrical object in his hands. Sever explosions ripped through the palace walls, fireballs reaching into the sky. Screams pierced the air, screams of pain and screams of anger. From the shadows of Sirux came a war cry; “For the people and for gods”.

At the forefront of the cultist charge was Razar; one hand he held the mysterious cylindrical device, the other a bolt pistol, gifted to him by his new gods champion.He roared praise to his new dark masters, as Razar neared the breach in the wall.

Nice beginning. I'm so tempted to do a model of the Palace. Then I can get my friends to replay this battle ;)
