dirge caster
Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to use Blight Drones and how effective you find them? Do you think it's worth buying some? I imagine it to be very effective having a fast skimmer in a daemon army and potentially an extra 9 vehicles! Could they also add some much-needed speed to a mono-nurgle army? Can you let me know what you think. Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190175-blight-drones/ Share on other sites
Rev. Tiberius Jackhammer
I've used one in with chaos marines, and it adds a nice mobile element (especially helpful as I have mostly footsloggers). A fasting moving largeblast weapon vehicle is really helpful against hordes, and it should help compensate for an all Nurgle army's slowness. I've scratchbuilt mine though, the forgeworld model is nice, but not 35 pounds nice. dirge caster
Thanks for the response and the advice. Is there any chance you could show your scratch-built blight drones? I agree that 35 quid is far too expensive. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190175-blight-drones/#findComment-2255775 Share on other sites

Rev. Tiberius Jackhammer
Sorry, I don't have access to a decent camera right now. It uses cardboard for the hull, and it's styled after the Nurgle fly symbol. I'd recommend using the tutorial above, though, it's far better than the one I made. One other tactical note - their twin-linked autocannon makes them very helpful transport poppers, a role that's badly needed in a Nurgle list. dirge caster
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm currently trying to make a drone using the carapace of a carnifex with an inverted carnifex tail attached. I'll let you know how it goes! There's just something about the blight drone that I really like. It's not just the mix of machine and giant daemonic maggot but the fact that it flies by nasty old propellors, has a camera lens for an eye and has a pitted, rusty shell. I also like the straps around the body, the decrepit weapons sticking out of the flesh and the hanging tubes / wires. I've always been a fan of all things nurgly but the blight drone is just amazing. :D Sorry to go on about it so much!! Circus Nurgling
Sorry for the late reply, but I felt I should add some of my enthusiasm about the blight drones as well. They recently won a 1250 point game for me (mono-nurgle list vs. Black Templars) zooming in and contesting an objective in what would have otherwise been a tied game. I hope to see some reports from any of your successes too  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190175-blight-drones/#findComment-2286345 Share on other sites
