Spellscape
Hi all I have OOP Njal model in Runic Armor. One of his shoulderpads is empty so now I'm thinking what must be there according to WH40K history. If someone has pics from old codex with iconography on his shoulderpad please post it - I don't have old one Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190292-to-what-great-company-njal-belongs-to/ Share on other sites
Tybrus
I would guess Logan's Great Company but not sure, never really thought about it... Bloodmange
If I'm not mistaken he belongs to Ragnar Blackmane's company. Infact, lexicanum counts him as one of Ragnar's own wolf guard. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ragnar_Blackmane Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190292-to-what-great-company-njal-belongs-to/#findComment-2255246 Share on other sites
greese_m0nkey
I don't have the old codex's with me, but all Rune, Wolf and Iron priest belong to Logans great company. You could use his old company markings or use the company he is attached to at the moment. Grey Mage
Lexicanum is full of it. As a Rune Priest he belongs to the Great Wolfs Household, as do all Rune and Wolf Priests. Where he is assigned is a different matter- last I knew he ran with Ragnars GC, but that can change at any time Logain decides it should. Lord Ragnarok
Yes, GM is correct. All priests belong to the company of the great wolf. commander alexander
It is confirmed in the codex under the entries about the wolf lords that all priests are become one with the great wolf's company. But I still like to think that a few priests are "attached" to each company. Lord Ragnarok
We wolves are flexible. Our backs are not as stiff as the codex guys. I could see the priest moving amongst the companies freely. And of course staying with them as long as necessary and maybe never leaving certain companies if enough blood bonds have been formed in vicious battle. SamaNagol
They should have their own heraldry really. Don't just paint it yellow and stick on the transfer. Go to town with it. Quillen
Indeed he is attached to Ragnar's Company at present. It's covered in the Second Edition codex where he is helping Ragnar fight nids. He kills the hivetyrant and breaks synaps and saves the day. commander alexander
Um that was second edition, so who he is "attached" to now is open for speculation, but he is a member of the great wolf's company. Valerian
Um that was second edition, so who he is "attached" to now is open for speculation, but he is a member of the great wolf's company. Just because the Edition of the game has changed doesn't mean the in-game timeline has changed. As a Priest (any type of Priest; e.g. Iron, Wolf, or Rune) he officially belongs to the Great Wolf's Great Company/household. However, Njal has been tied to Ragnar's Great Company since 1992 when the new concept for the Space Wolves was revealed in White Dwarf issues 156 and 157. We can assumed that he was assigned by the Great Wolf to advise and assist the young Wolf Lord. Certainly Njal would be free to be reassigned as needed by the Great Wolf, but the fates of Ragnar Blackmane and Njal Stormcaller are closely linked throughout their Sagas.
