Mortis Crux
Needs a little clean-up and I need to fill the gap on the arm. I will paint this after I complete my LPC Vow. xAbramx
That's some pretty clean conversion work; nice triumphant pose. Hope to see it painted. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190315-my-take-on-a-chaplain/#findComment-2255768 Share on other sites
The Damned
I've been lookingforward to seeing th LotD Sarg, used as a chaplin. Looks good. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190315-my-take-on-a-chaplain/#findComment-2255769 Share on other sites
Feytor
Cut the left arm up to elbow, It looks too long now. However, looks nice, is it Dark Angel, right? Spacefrisian
Looks nice and yes the arm looks somewhat to long. The Dark Angel comment made me laugh as the title says Casius stand in. Feytor
He has DA looking crozius :/ . Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190315-my-take-on-a-chaplain/#findComment-2255889 Share on other sites
Drudge Dreadnought
Good conversion work but i see 2 problems. First, the crozius is just way too small and not imposing enough. Second, cassius has a combi-flamer, not melta. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190315-my-take-on-a-chaplain/#findComment-2255921 Share on other sites
Capt. Lysander
Ah, another use of the LotD model as a chaplain. The conversion is nicely done: I like the crozius. Mortis Crux
Thank you for the replies. I misread the Codex entry :o I didn't read his kit and only looked breifly at the b/w pic on his fluff entry and saw a Combi Melta. I will definately shorten the arm and rework the gun arm as I want to use this HQ (Cassius) in 750 pt games. Kid Famous The Punch
I like simple and effective conversions like this. It's surprising to see someone get a conversion that looks great without some GS. Well that's not true. I mean It's hard for people to keep it simple and make poses work when it comes to "cut and replace" conversions. This looks good though. EPK
Looks nice and yes the arm looks somewhat to long. The Dark Angel comment made me laugh as the title says Casius stand in. Nothing stopping people from painting/modeling DA but using C:SM to play. hazardousZERO
I did a "cassius" model. The way i did the combi-flamer was i used a combi-plasma and a flamer. I chopped the front off the flamer and the tank that holds the liquid. I then cut that in half. Then i cut out the plasma part of the combi-plasma up too where the core part on the bottom is. Finally i took the two halves of the tank glued them on ether side just in front of the magazine and i glued the front of the flamer where the plasma used too be. I know you didn't ask for help on how too build it but I'm in a helping mood. Ani
Great conversion. As soon as I saw the LotD figures, I knew the sarge had to find its way into a chappy conversion. You've done that very well. The crozius is very slick-looking, and the combi-flamer's very well done. Consider the latter "yoinked." ~Ani Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190315-my-take-on-a-chaplain/#findComment-2256970 Share on other sites

WingsOfTheFalcon
I'm currently working on converting exactly the same model into a chaplain, really like how yours has turned out, though I'm having the crozius in the right arm. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190315-my-take-on-a-chaplain/#findComment-2257574 Share on other sites
