Angry Marines Ironclad Dreadnought

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and gals,

So in the pursuit of making my ever-growing Angry Marines army "legal", I've added, what else but, an Ironclad Dreadnought [Cue Ironman by Black Sabbath]. As some of you may notice, the Dread right now isn't that "Angry" (the "Angrification" occurs during the painting phase  ). But as some of you may notice, there are some "nudges" towards this Dreadnought bieng a part of the Angry Marine Chapter (Notable the "angry face" on the chassis front, the genstealer bieng "smooshed", and the dreadnought power fist flipping the bird to some unknown advesary). Anyway, with out further a do, here are the picts:

Again, that's it for me. C&C welcomed as always. Watched the "Hall of Honor" space for the painted Dreadnought; Comming Soon!

I like it, even if it reminds me of "Disco Stu" from the Simpsons... please tell me it's going to have a white suit and a medallion...!

Nope, it's just going to be written on with words of pure RAAAAAGE!

Thanks guys, I'm glad that you all think that my Ironclad is from the Disco Marines rather then the Angry Marines. Now I'm going to leave and go cry in a corner now :) ...

Anywho, I can now imagine the dreadnought quoting lines from "Disco Stu" as he stomps on the gribbles...Great:

Disco Dread, is going to paint the town red.

On a final note, thank you all for your [ahmm] critism and comments. I'm happy you guys like him. I'll be sure to post some more picts of it, but with different arm positions (so more people won't make to assumption). I'll also try to post the painted pics A.S.A.P.

I agree with all of you concerning the face. So, as a result, i've made a few changes to the dread. I've tooken the GS face of of the front chassis, I've repositioned the fingers on the dreadnought close combat weapon (as no one was understanding what it was demonstrating; even people I showed the dread to in person didn't quite understand why the fingers were like that) and I added more mushrooms to the base. I've also come up with a new for this new addition. In honor of everone on B&C thinking that the dreadnought was a "Disco Dread", I'm naming him "Stu". Coodos to Chaos Lord Shamrockius for making the initial comparison between the dread and everybody's favourite yellow, dancing moonwalker. Anyway, photos of the new and improved Stu are provided below:

C&C welcomed as always. Painting to come soon. Watch the "Hall of Honors" space. Peace.

You should up-hold the grand tradition of painting the middle finger on one leg and on the other "Your face/ass here" with the arrow pointed to foot.

Best of luck on your Ironclad Belligerent Engine.

Well it wouldn't be an Angry Marine Ironclad if I didn't add some profanity to it. So yes, the middle finger will find a place at home on this project's leg. Because, as we all know, Angry Marines are always angry...ALL THE TIME!

Anyway, thanks again guys for the encouragment, I promise I'll paint Stu up soon.

can't believe i missed this post...

this is awesome, but one niggle - please don't hurt me for it-

the foot squishing the genestealer, can you bend the front toe a little bit over the 'stealer?

Oh Martemis, you've done it now. Fourth generic rule of the Angry Marines is, "If somebody offers helping advice on your AM dreadnought, you rip their eyes out." I'm sorry but you just crossed the line. :)

JK bud. Yah sure, I'll change the toe. Thanks, also, for pointing that out (I honestly didn't notice that "niggle" until now).

You're welcome on the name front. At least you're doing better than me... My other half names my Dread's after famous American wife beaters (so far we have OJ and Ike) and my Cult Chaos Lords after members of the Beatles... We have Paul (magician=Tzeench), Ringo (crazy=Khorne), George (disease=Nurgle) and John (kinky=Slaanesh).

Even the life of a Chaos Lord is one rules by the woman in his life...

On Stu's new pose, which was why I was originally posting, it's growing on me, but a large part of me still likes the disco look.

I really should take this hobby seriously some day...

Thanks guys for all the comments. The painting of Stu is occuring at a slow and stead rate, thankfully. So as always watch the Hall of Honor space. Also, on a closing remark, yes Shamrockius, you should take this hobby seriously. Now go waste some more money on some plastic models.
