“As some of you will know, I became ill in the latter part of last year. The problem was eventually identified as epilepsy, which I am now managing, but it took several rather troubling months to reach that diagnosis. As a consequence, Prospero Burns did not meet its deadline, and the decision... See More’s been made to push back its release. I’d like to say two things: thank you for all the messages of support, and sorry there’s going to be a delay. I’ll do everything I can to make sure that Prospero Burns is worth the wait.”

I'm betting he will make this book even more terrrific now. :D

Is that even a possibility? Our legion kicks another legion right where it hurts.

Health comes first, I just hope that he gets through it and has a blast writing the book.

Plus the wait will make it quite tantalizing after the interview, and we don't have to worry about the loss of Belts of Russ for WGBL's or the like :P

We're used to waiting.

Hope he makes good progress with his epilepsy.

Oh well, it's a forum, you'll live. The guy's got a life changing illness that can be very serious and sometimes can even be fatal. So we have to wait a bit to read about how much butt we kicked but he's not well. He's already done the hobby a great service with his previous works.

yea, i get that his illness is a horrible thing. i really do.

but in a purely selfish/consumer commentary, this is the 2nd time the time the book got pushed back.

They are tragic heros? As far as i understand it they didnt turn to chaos, they were forced into it. I see the Space Wolves attack on Prospero as a tragity and a black mark of our chapters history. If everything i understand is still the up to date lore, Magnus, after being forbiden to use his magic, broke through the wards on the Emperors palace to send a message warning of Horus's betrail. The Emperor wouldnt belive them and sent the spaves wolves to baby sit the Sons, afaik they were only ment to go and make sure nothing fishy happened tell someone could get there and get an explanation out of Magnus. Alas, the message was intercepeted and altered by Horus to 'Destroy them'. In their last hour they turned to Tzeentch to wisk them away from annilation. Even then, though, they prefourmed the Ruberic (sp) to stop the mutations that were running wild in other chapters. Change and Mutation are supposed to be big things for Tzeentch, which tells me they didnt warship him out of some love, but lack of options. Otherwise they would have welcomed the change.

I agree the Tsons story and how we faced them was a tragedy. Sure they were trafficking in magics, but disobeying an order on using pyschic abilities and out right traitorous willful destruction are two different things altogether.

I actually have a soft spot for the Tsons....until they invade Fenris.

Remember things like sarcasm and jokes can be hard to discern on the internet. In the context of your other comments it is easy to think you were being a little stern. However, Dewi's response is over the top.

That said, let's move on to a nicer discussion of the topic.

YIPPEE! Now the tables have turned Wolf Lord Kieran! I'll be able to accurately call you a Fanboy til Dan's book comes out! :)

How much ____ you gonna take? I dunno, if you measure it with the Imperial system, it will be a truck load. If you use the Metric system, it'll be even more. :)

But to put it into a tangible and science based number, I'd say.... whatever is your limit and then a bit more. :D

Thanks Graygray ~ the cheque's in the mail! :)

Let's play a game, we kick each other and the first to fall over looses.... I'll go first :)

Only joking, but not really.... this is gonna be fun!

*Onto the actual issue of Dan Abnett, it is terrible. Having something that is so crippling AND strikes at irregular times must be horribly debilitating.

For those who believe in the power of prayer, do so. For those who don't, you can send your well-wishes to the guy. Having dozens of 'get wells' and sympathetic words will lift his spirits and help him on the mend.

I haven't looked into it but there is something called the 'Japanese Water Experiment' which I guess would be Google-able. Samples of water have either words of affirmation or condemnation spoken over them. When looked at via a microscope, the samples of water are visibly different. When you think we are 80ish % water, it makes you wonder....
