Burning Eclipse's newest additions

Recommended Posts

I, Davidthedespoiler of the Chaos Ascendant, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least 5 Chosen and 7 Plague Marines on or before the 31st of March, 2010. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done.

Double post, woop. Well, I've got some images of the built (now undercoated) models.

The Chosen are 5 man strong and fielded with 5 flamers!

I've tried my best to emphasize on their "Infiltrate" capabilities, by using the Marauder legs and arms from the WHFB WOC to give them a more stealthy look.

Their shoulder pads have been inverted (on purpose) in order to A) better fit the Marauder arms and :tu: give them a more distinct look amongst my other Marines.

And the Plague Marines are 7 man-strong, kitted out with a Personal Icon, two Plasma guns and an Aspiring Champion with a Power Fist. In order to give them the girth that one would expect from the worshipers of Nurgle, I strapped on some unorthodox gut plates (taken from the shoulder pads of the WHFB Chaos Knights). Their helmets are also from the same source.

The reason that they wield a bolter in one hand and a Chain Sword in the other is to reminisce of the days when Nurgle gave you true grit.

The Icon Bearer for the unit is so tough that he's had his legs blown off completely, yet continues to fight on and refuse to allow the banner of his patron to fall. As my friend would say, "Now THAT'S a man."

If we could get some close-ups on the individual models, it would be handy! At the range they're at now it's hard to give any helpful criticism. Based on the long shots all I can really say is that I like the concepts and that they look good from a distance, but I really would like to see how well the marauder legs work closer in, and from a few angles.
