Walter Payton
A sign of the Sisters strength is the fact that in their entire history only a single sister, Miriael Sabathiel, has fallen to the lure of Chaos. How Miriael fell is unknown, only that she was turned from the Emperor's light to Slaanesh worship, and now serves as one of the prince of chaos' greatest warriors. Miriael now wanders the galaxy, slaughtering the enemies of her god. It was upon her daemon-tainted blade that Khorgath, Champion of Khorne, choked to death on his own blood. It was her bolt pistol that executed Justicar Tankrius of the Grey Knights, and her machinations that trapped Autarch Eliathon of Ulthwé and teased his soul from its stone, an agonising process that took a day and a night. Slaanesh has not been idle with his new champion, sealing her armour with daemonic wards, and gifting her with a glowing runesword. It is her siren's beauty that is her greatest strength, however, combined with the ability to see the bare souls of her enemies, and she has corrupted many more Sisters of Battle as well as countless other Imperial Savants. A full Mission of Sisters of Battle from the Order of the Argent Shroud vowed on Ophelia VII to capture Miriael. All of them swore themselves to the will of Slaanesh after encountering Sabathiel, sacrificing their Ministorum guards, and these fallen sisters now form her retinue. Inquisitor Tosak set out to hunt her down in the Sactifiza System. He was tortured to death in the bowels of a shattered hive, bereft of his faith. A squad of Black Templars cornered her in Tancred VI, but fell to their knees before her, and gave themselves to Slaanesh. An entire shrineworld fell to Slaanesh through the machinations of Miriael Sabathiel. It will not be long before Miriael's warband of fallen Sisters, Chaos Space Matines and other, lesser renegades in enough to challenge the most powerful Slaaneshi warbands, those led by former Emperor's Children. The cold fervour that she applied to her life in the Adepta Soroitas is now applied to her worship of Slaanesh. Miriael dreams of the day she can lead a cruel mockery of an Imperial Crusade, and sacrifice all unbelievers to the Dark Prince. Codex Chaos Space Marines http://www.emperorschildren.net/wiki/images/a/a7/Corrupt-sister.jpg Unit Composition: 1 Miriael Sabathiel Unit Type: Infantry Points: 230 WS:6 BS:5 S:3 T:3 W:3 A:4 I:4 (5) Sv: 2+/4+ Ld:10 Weapons: The Agoniser, Bolt Pistol, Frag Grenades and Melta Bombs, The Agoniser: Found in the vaults of Occatus I, the Agoniser is a potent and mighty weapon. Snaking tubes connect it to a needle in Miriael's arm, where it absorbs the foul narcotics naturally synthesised by the Champions of Slaanesh. It is a daemon weapon that causes Instant Death and adds 2+ to Miriaels strength. Wargear: Armour of Ecstasy, Mark of Slaanesh (bonus Initiative included in profile) Armour of Ecstasy: Miriael's Sororitas power armour has been warped and corrupted by the Dark Prince. It conveys a 2+ armour save OR a 4+ invulnerable save. In addition, it reduces the Ld of any enemy model within 6" by 1. Special Rules: Fearless, Independant Character, Fallen Sister, Siren, The Corrupted, Psyker: Miriael may purchase one of the psychic powers allowed detailed in Codex: CSM at the appropriate points cost. Independant Character: as BRB Fallen Sister: All models with the Adepta Sororitas special rule gain +1 attack in an assault involving Miriael. In addition, they must attack her if they can. Siren: On the turn she charges or is charged, Miriael is at I:10. When in an assault, each individual enemy wishing to attack her must first pass a Leadership test. The Corrupted: If their army includes Miriael, the CSM player may include up to two squads of Celestians or Seraphim (or one of each) at the appropriate points cost, to represent Miriael's corrupted hunters. The units may have any weapon options described in Codex: Witch Hunters, but may not use Acts of Faith. They have none. The Nephilim
I would pay a lot of money for a good sculpt for a model for her. Here's some more Miriael and Fallen Sister art. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/Miriael_card1.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/Miriaelsabathielchampionofchaos.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/Anima_Obscura_by_Aerion_the_Faithfu.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/sister_of_slaanesh_by_cuba12.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/Fille_du_Vacarme_by_Remton.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/Dominance_by_torture_device.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/jstead2/Conversion%20Ideas/Chaos_Bride_by_Remton.jpg Edit by Insane Psychopath: Rememeber this is a family fourm, some image (remove now) are not really suitible for younger memeber/kids of our fourm memebers. Walter Payton
What is it with people and Slaanesh. IT ISN'T ABOUT THE CARNALITY. Khorne fits the SoBs better tbh Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190551-miriael-sabathiel/#findComment-2261143 Share on other sites
The Nephilim
Except the first recorded fallen SoB fell to Slaanesh. Other fiction has them fall to Slaanesh, so blame GW, Sabertooth Games and Black Library for setting the precedent. Vlad III
Someone should definitely use her as a base to devise a C:CSoB, I know my Witch Hunter playing bro would totally go to Chaos xD But otherwise, Totally awesome. If I had a chaos dex and SoB, I would field her every single game I could. What is it with people and Slaanesh. IT ISN'T ABOUT THE CARNALITY. Khorne fits the SoBs better tbh Slaanesh fits SoBs better because Sisters are Space Nuns.....and Slaanesh is all excess and so forth. And when I think of corrupt nuns.... :P *leaves it at that* Just my opinion though. TheBlackCrusader
Well, there is a huge problem with her backstory. And that's the Black Templars would never fall to chaos. They would die screaming prayers, alongside their brothers, as they must. They would never accept such a fate. *Furyou Miko
Ok, couple of points about the actual stats (since regarding the background: If she can corrupt Sisters, she can corrupt anything). The Armour of Ecstasy - when does the player choose whether it grants a 2+ or a 4++? Precedent from the Living Saint would be "at the start of the battle". Otherwise there's effectively no difference from her just having the Cloak of Saint Aspira and a Rosarius. The Agoniser - name is kinda Dark Eldary, also you should include the strength bonus in the profile as 3 (5), like you did with the Mark of Slaanesh bonus. Points - she's way too expensive. For reference, the closest you can field in a Witch Hunter army would be a Canoness with a Blessed Weapon, Cloak of Saint Aspira, Rosarius, Frag Grenades, Bolt Pistol and Melta Bombs (4, 5, 3 (5), 3, 3, 4, 3, 10, 2+/4++) which comes in at 126 points. The Canoness gets Faith for that, and the Blessed Weapon ignores armour saves instead of causing Instant Death. You have +2 weapon skill and +1 attack, and then you have the mitigating Fallen Sister rule which should knock about 5 points off her cost. Now, I'll admit to not knowing if Daemon Weapons have any inherent abilities beyond what you've typed above, but the way she is now (especially if she has to choose between 2+ and 4++ at the start of the battle) I'd expect to pay 150 points at the most (Pariahs reduce your Ld to a flat 7 and they only cost 36 points each for a S5 T5 model that ignores all saves EVER).
